Cool article and all but we all know this thing ā€œisn’t a real truckā€ ā„¢, because it can’t do ā€œtruck thingsā€ ā„¢ and any farming/hauling/offroading you do it in ā€œcan be done in my mom's Camryā€ ā„¢

Signed, guy with a different kind of truck that hauls a dozen bags of mulch from Home Depot 1x per year and spends a lot of time thinking about other peoples possessions and interests
Well, he's not a REAL farmer either! I mean, his garage is finished with drywall! It's even mud & taped! No self respecting redneck would do that!

What a Farm PR stunt, not practical, that CT is lost and needs to get back to its urban environment.

Just had USA Today interview me a couple days ago for a story. Been getting a lot of other news coverage as well which has been a good opportunity to try and help people understand the truth about these vehicles ?

Thought you guys would enjoy ?
Dude hell yeah! You're a welder? That's the main reason I ordered mine after the presentation. The ramp and the air compressor and the 240 outlet sold me on getting one so I could weld on the go. Sad we lost the compressor and ramp but glad we can still plug in.

Can you tell me your experiences on welding with the truck? How much does the machine drain the battery? Are you noticing the duty cycle affected at all? What kind of amperage do you run your machine at and for how long? I've been dying to try out my everlast with it but haven't had an opportunity yet.

Thanks for doing your part to counter the fake narrative that it's not a work truck. Of course it is. Why wouldn't it be?

Oh, that's right, because it's impossible to put a rack on it.

Love the utility but that rack is a little off putting. As Elon would say "It needs to be pointy".

I woke up during the middle of the night and I saw Tucker doing a review on CT. I ended up watching the entire video.

Strictly limiting this comment to the merits of the video, I thought that it was actually an enjoyable watch and the subject who got to drive the truck around and give his impressions seemed really down to earth and reasonable. I think it was fantastic for the company.

It's his normal mode of operation. Obviously he is just jealous that he's stuck with a crappy Lightning with non-adjustable suspension, that sags in back when you put a load in it, that can't adapt to different weights and terrain, that doesn't have class-leading ground clearance and that came with an open bed, no motorized metal tonneau cover and a sucky stereo. Oh, and that's just half of it. I just don't want to rub it in too much.

let me guess why - dent resistant body is not ideal near farm equipments, steer by wire with high maneuverability is super bad in farms, height adjustable suspension scares farm animals, high payload is never used, superior air filtration to keep the dust away is not needed as farmers love to inhale dust and dirt all the time, high LED bar that can throw light up to five football fields is never needed as all farms are completely well lit with candles, vaulted bed is useless as farmers don’t have anything valuable, who needs high torque when there are tractors, Cameras everywhere is just waste of tech when you are driving next to farm equipments, who needs tough windshields and window panels as farmers rarely deal with flying debris, and who on earth needs to maintain silence when near horses, and of course it’s important to have so much fumes around your barn or warehouse, especially around kids, and please let’s not talk about AT tires as farmland needs ultra smooth bald tires, what about the electric outlets as every inch of farmland has electric wires running, dog mode is a joke when you are remotely working in a field in hot weather and need to leash your dog, and wheel wells - farmers love these things sticking out in their truck, and it goes without saying - farmers don’t like skid plates underneath as they love damaging trucks underbelly with rocks, lol ?, did I miss anything? Oh one more very important thing - farmers neither listen to songs nor like network connectivity while working in remote fields. It kills their mood, and that’s when they go to gas station to spend money and lighten their mood! haha

Ok sarcasm aside, except long range towing, which is something farmers don’t do daily anyways, there is not a single down side of using CT in a farm setting. CT is the most perfect truck one can use in a farm. I’m glad this farmer is setting a trend. Let people laugh as most don’t know what it takes to work on a farm. I’m glad a farmer in Idaho knows what he is doing!

What was fun to me was that Tucker, a well established EV skeptic, seemed to be mostly quite impressed. Mandates remain evil and EVs are not for everyone, but there are those a good EV could serve quite well.
