Hey a bit off topic but, how come when I ? to other Cybertruck owners, they don't ? back??? I thought we were instantly blood brothers the moment we both purchased our trucks???? I thought if I couldn't pay my mortgage you would lend it to me, I'm so confused.........../sarcasm off
Drivers zoning out. ?ā€ā™‚

Pic was taken months ago; I’m on the right. At the previous light, we were next to each other and I was looking his way to wave hi. He didn’t see me until the light turned green and I got the jump. That’s when he rolled down his window to get my attention.

Most times I wave or flash lights and I get a wave/flash back.

Just back from a visit to LosAngeles, from SanJose.
Friday drove 101 down. Seen a few other CTs. Drove alongside one, but that had tinted windows. Either didn’t see me wave or didn’t want to open a window and wave back. That’s all. No thumbs up or down, no birds.

Saterday in LA/Hollywood a few smiles when standing at traffic lights, nothing else all day. One other CT at the SS, had a nice chat. His claim was that he hadn't gotten any ā€œhateā€ responses in the three months he had the car, driving in LA.

Sunday back on 5. Fewer CTs then Friday on 101, surprising. At one stop an older gentleman (can I say that, being 70 myself?) approached me and asked if he could peek into the window. I opened all doors and let him look all he wanted. He didn’t want to sit in it. And then the question came: is it really a truck? What is in the back? He was really surprised when I opened the cover and the tailgate and he saw the bed. Yes, a real truck. Made him very happy. ā€œIt is really specialā€.

So all in all a very normal trip, with two pleasant chats, and no hate or dislikes at all. Maybe this is the normal experience for most people?

The stop at Kettleman, with a Tesla ā€œwaiting room?ā€. It is nice but not sure about the purpose.

Kettleman is one of my go-to superchargers. If it’s a quick charge and go, we’ll go to that Supercharger location; 27675 Bernard Ave. If we’re going to relax and have lunch/dinner, we’ll go to the one next to Bravo Farms; 33341 Bernard Ave.

99% thumbs up here in Tennessee!
All waves have been using all their fingers!
I did, however participate in an anti "Hands off" protest wherein I had three flags in my receiver flag-holder: American Flag, Trump Flag and Cybertruck flag! The paid bussed-in protesters spewed their standard epithets and gestures while I smiled at them!

I like the "gas station" drive through layout! sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the charge cable to reach the CT port at the "back-in" chargers.

I'm in New Mexico.

The finger love has slowed down a lot. I was getting a couple of fingers every 10 miles a couple of weeks ago.

Now I get a lot more curiosity and positive feedback than fingers.

I don't know that the negative has gone down much but I agree there is a new level of support from people. There (as others have mentioned) been several people who have intentionally gotten my attention to give positive and let me know we aren't alone out there.

I also think that the 'paid'' hate world is losing traction as the whole movement in the 1st quarter didn't destroy Tesla and Elon like it was supposed to.

Yeah I am seeing less fingers and actually more support from big diesels. I get flashed a lot from the big trucks and some cars. I am hoping the intense hate is over and we are on the downslide. Who knows... maybe after all of the media coverage of haters going to jail and government stepping up prosecutions has scared many haters off. here is hoping ?

The utility/quality/value of the product/item maters. There is really no legitimate competition/viable alternative at this moment in the US.

Just got back from a trip from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Toronto, Canada, on Monday.

It was a mixed experience...
  • At a Supercharger in Windsor, ON - a guy getting into his truck yelled at me "GET A REAL TRUCK!" I responded, "What?" He repeats "GET A REAL TRUCK!" I respond "It IS a real truck!" He yells back "No it's not!", then gets in his truck and revs his engine loudly, then drives off.
  • At a Supercharger in Ingersoll, ON - a guy in a truck pulls up and tells me how much he loves the Cybertruck and wants to buy one.
  • At the same Supercharger, two guys on motorbikes drive by with one guy nodding his head in approval.
  • At the Vaughn, ON Supercharger - two guys in pickup trucks are chatting, and as I leave the truck they want to talk about it. I explain what it can do, and they are blown away. They had no idea what it could do. One guy said he'd considered possibly getting one but was worried about lack of charging infrastructure.
  • On the 401 towards Toronto - a car passes me on the left and the guy honks his horn - the girl in the passenger seat gives me a thumbs down.
  • North of Toronto - a car heading the opposite direction blasts its horn and gives me the middle finger.
  • North of Toronto - another car heading the opposite direction blasts its horn and gives me the middle finger.
  • Cooksville (where I was staying) - many people went out of their way to drive down a street just to get a glimpse of the Cybertruck. One person called the person I was staying with to ask them if they'd bought a Cybertruck.
  • At a Supercharger in Windsor on the way back to Michigan - a guy in a Rivian from Texas tells me he was going to drive his Cyberbeast to see Niagara Falls, but due to all the hate decided to drive his Rivian instead. He prefers the Cyberbeast, but the Rivian is "more luxurious".
Why people think I care at all what they think about my truck is actually kind of funny...and sad...at the same time. There's a lot of anti-American hate in Canada at the moment (not that it wasn't there for decades) due to the tariffs affecting jobs. I grew up in Canada, and the public school system teaches Anti-Americanism. Tesla represents everything Canadians hate about America, and Elon and Trump's actions to right the wrongs of the past several decades will result in a lot of Canadian jobs going bye bye.

On the bright side, my friend and his sister were blown away by the truck, and had no idea what it could even do. They actually defended it when people cut it down.

Thanks for making the location request. I've read all the replies & they have made me feel much better about driving the "truck."

Where did you find a CyberTruck flag? Or better yet, a CyberBeast?
