I'm afraid you're right. Wishful thinking for now.Sounds like an inefficient logistical mess.
Who goes out to get their package out of a vehicle? Who is ready at all times for said package? How inefficient is a 1 to 1 delivery? So there would need to be multiple packages to make it worth while...how is it regulated what is taken by who? If the person doesn't come get it, what happens to the package?
I think autonomous deliveries will occur, but they will need to be on demand like a pizza delivery and likely a reduced cost to walk out to the street to get food, but for package delivery, it doesn't make sense unless you get both parties to confirm a package will be there at X time and both are ready to participate.
