I will continually edit this thread as info comes out.

-Elon expects GigaTexas to be delivering cars this year

-Tesla is not considering the ability to transfer FSD between vehicles at this timeframe, though subscription will be coming soon

-Kato battery team has solved all issues they have faced to date and are on track to meet cost and efficiency marks. Full production this year.

-Installing capacity for battery production of 200GWh by 2022

-Aiming for 50% of all service visits done by mobile service, currently this is about 49% of all service scheduled

-46 new service centers first half of this year

-Aiming for service appointments at all service centers within 10 days of issue reported

-Hoping to prove Tesla FSD is viable later this year

-CT engineering is complete, ordering equipment now. Larger casting presses than in current use. 8000 ton press for CT.

-If lucky, a few CT deliveries this year, volume starting in 2022.

-Elon- "It's going to be an incredible vehicle"

-Hoping to meet 4680 efficiency and cost 4 years from now

-Elon expects to be the CEO for several more years....but he would like some downtime instead of working day and night 7 days a week.

I believe he said it was for the rear third of the undercarriage
Makes sense as that needs to be reinforced for the heavy loads the CT can carry

The undercarriage will protect the battery pack.
The battery pack should make up a large portion of the floor, so i don't think the casting will protect that in it's entirety

I suppose it could help reinforce the frame so the CT can tow 14,000 lbs

Would love to see the blueprints!

And this is probably the structure the motors, suspension attaches to, and bridges the underside of the bed between the exoskeleton sides.

Amusing how Wall Street is disappointed by this so stock falls a bit today..... Wall Street.... the 'experts' responsible for the great depression, the great recession and the housing bubble that insists it can regulate itself.....
