Off road mode but it was an a

Off-road mode/snow. But it was an easy pull. Also have a new set of Duratrac’s mounted on stock rims from Tesla. I was playing around with a couple friends higher up the mountain and we made a Cyber Taco.

How amazing that EV and ICE can play nice together. :) I miss running around trails in a truck, need to get out to do that again.

Chill mode! ?
I don't llike chill mode for snow/ice because it seems to insert a microsecond delay in throttle response, just like an ICE vehicle. That messes with the immediacy of the feedback.

There is a slippery surfaces mode which is supposed to distribute the weight more evenly between each tire for improved grip but I don't know how it physically works. Does it connect the left and right sides of the air suspension together to average the pressures left to right? I can't tell it makes an obvious difference but that is probably because the Cybertruck generally feels so planted either way.

Also, for uneven ground and really tricky, slippery conditions, the front and rear mechanical lockers are amazing. If locking both differentials won't get you out, you are stuck good and need a rope to get extracted. That's never happened to me and I've beeen in some very treacherous conditions, with deep, wet, spring snowpack with a solid ice bottom.

I am going to try to get stuck when I have a friend in a truck with me and try to get out with the trail assist set to 1 or 2 mph. That seems similar to to toyotas crawl control and if I am wrong, I have someone to bail me out.

I like trail assist for slow speed rugged terrain that is not too slippery or technical, it helps apply smooth power when getting rocked about. Manual throttle control can be difficult when it's rugged enough to throw your body about.

That said, I wouldn't recommend it for getting unstuck, manual throttle control will always be better when trying to get unstuck. Of course it would probably work if you had both locking differentials engaged, but manual control will give you more of the control you will want.
