mine is 71xxx. Mfg in 04/2025. Delivered 5/1.
Yes, Tesla has skipped VINs in the past. And even if a vehicle was manufactured and assigned a VIN, that doesn't necessarily mean that it has been sold. For example, there are still unsold 2024 Cybertrucks (both Foundation and non-Foundation) sitting in Tesla's inventory today.Knowing how much Tesla skips VINS, that's worthless info.
Another forum user reported that VINs were in the 64,000 - 65,000 range during February 2025:In December 2024, they were in the 60k VIN range despite selling around 38k.
The cantrail recall, in March 2025, revealed that 46,096 Cybertrucks were produced through February 27, 2025. So in February 2025, the VINs were running about 18,000 - 19,000 ahead of total production. And the VINs were presumably even further ahead of total sales, given the availability of unsold 2024s still in inventory.I'm VIN 64xxx, with a build date of February 2025.
So they’ve increased the VIN number by about 20k since mine was built: 521xx VIN, built on Nov 15, 2024.mine is 71xxx. Mfg in 04/2025. Delivered 5/1.
