Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck vs. Ferrari 1000028878

Is it the sequel to Ford vs. Ferrari? :) I had the opportunity this weekend to bring my Cybertruck to our Xtreme Xperience (www.xxspeed.com) event at Hedge Hollow Raceway. The other Professional Driving Instructors were at first perplexed and then curious and then some of them were researching buying one after seeing what the Cybertruck was like and what it could do first hand. The only other supercar in the fleet with a comparable 0-60 time is the Ferrari 296 (which is part EV btw). I thought I'd take the opportunity to snap a few pictures of the Cybertruck with some of the cars in the fleet and the Ferrari to show to stark design contrast. :)

If you've never driven a supercar on the race track I highly recommend you look into attending an Xtreme Xperience event at a race track near you. You can find the locations and details at www.xxspeed.com

Looks fun!

Says a lot if professional drivers were impressed at the track.

Maybe it can’t beat a Ferrari 296, but it’s close

Maybe it can’t rock crawl better than a Jeep Rubicon, but it’s close

Maybe it can’t tractor pull as well as a diesel 2500 series truck, but it’s close

Maybe it doesn’t ride as smooth or quiet as a Rolls Royce, but it’s close

Media: “the cybertruck is terrible because it’s not as good as the industry leading vehicle at whatever it’s particular niche is!!!”

It’s close to 100mph in a straight line but it’s not beating anything there around a track lol. Cybertruck fan all the way, but let’s be realistic here.

CB will beat my Pista to circa 60mph ….at which point the Pista will take a parting shot. ICE,hybrid (like the 296 GTB) are two different categories of vehicle. I never try to compare. If you are a car enthusiast you like them all.

Agreed the Cybertruck isn't beating these cars around the track (although I wonder about a lowered CT on track wheels and tires and what that would be like) However, I did beat a bunch of Porsches at an autocross recently... does that count? I didn't post these pictures to say the Cybertruck would be competitive on track, I posted these for fun and to show the stark contrast. ?

Agreed, even though some of my fellow instructors have oil in their veins they are still car guys and gals and love the variety and uniqueness and of course will volunteer to drive the wheels off anything given the chance... ??

I think with the right tires and some serious weight reduction, it could have some impressive figures. I think a good benchmark would be the old BMW X5 le mans. Brakes would need to be upgraded as well. Honestly, without the weight reduction, I can’t see how it would put down a decent time but who knows. I would love to see it!

This... THIS right here. "If you are a car enthusiast you like them all.". So glad someone finally said this.

I myself like cars but don't know enough to be a true enthusiast but I never hate on a vehicle unless it is truly BAD.

We need more true enthusiasts out there.

The Ford Raptor has good straight line acceleration, but no one is going to be caught dead with one at an autocross event or a road race track!

It just shows how versatile the Cybertruck is.

Ken, you need to get some grippy rubber on that thing! It might make it dangerous! ?
