Cybertruck warranty will be important

Warranties are going to be important for CT owners.

Looking at Tesla’s current warranties and comparing them to the current truck warranties out there, I would say Tesla’s warranties are better, but it's hard to compare as these are for vehicles that don't generally get used & abused the way a lot of trucks do...or at a minimum the current Tesla's are not used much off road...maybe a gravel road here and there. I just hope the CT warranty inspires confidence and doesn't add concern.

I would compare the ICE powertrain warranties to the Tesla Battery and Drive Unit.

Powertrain
Ford: 5yr/60k warranty or 5yr/100k warranty for diesel
Chevy: 5yr/60k warranty or 5yr/100k warranty for diesel
Dodge: 5yr/60k limited warranty or 5yr/100k limited warranty for diesel
Nissan: 5yr/100k warranty
Toyota: 5yr/60k warranty
Tesla: “Your vehicle is protected by a New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Battery and Drive Unit in your vehicle are covered for a period of:
Model S and Model X – 8 yrs/150k with minimum 70% retention of battery capacity over the warranty period.
Model 3 and Model Y Standard or Standard Range Plus - 8 yr/100k miles, with minimum 70% retention of battery capacity over the warranty period.
Model 3 and Model Y Long Range or Performance - 8 yr/120k, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.

Ford: 3yr/36k warranty
Chevy: 3yr/36k warranty
Dodge: 3yr/36k basic limited warranty

Toyota: 3yr/36k warranty
Tesla: Per the description of the New Vehicle Warranty 4yr/50k warranty

Roadside assistance
Ford: 5yr/60k includes towing and lockout protection

Parts and accessory coverage
Ford: 5yr/60k on the Safety Restraint Systems and 5 yrs/unlimited miles for corrosion

Dodge: Some MOPAR part have separate additional coverages beyond the bumper to bumper coverage.
Nissan: 5 yrs/unlimited miles for corrosion
Toyota: 5yr/60k on the Safety Restraint Systems and 5 yrs/unlimited miles for corrosion
Tesla “Parts, Body & Paint”: 1yr/12.5k

But then has some confusing remarks (confusing because the “Drive Unit” was already covered under their New Vehicle Limited Warranty)
