Met a friend at my favorite camera shop to help her kid with a project.

When I arrived there were two of us. First time parking next to another Cybertruck! Cool! Furthermore, turns out it belongs to my favorite crack dealer … err ..“camera consultant.”

Then about 20 minutes later, as I was leaving another one pulled in. So, now there’s three of us completely geeking out about this random encounter and my friend and her daughter “yeeted” out of there (am I saying it right?), 30 minutes later still there yammering! ????

Two beasts and one dual motor. My CB, “LEO” (got him in late-July also, Low Emissions Off-roader was the thinking for the name not law-enforcement officer), is the tall handsome one in the center, with the glint in his eye. The other beast is the black wrapped one on the left.

Another interesting thing is that before the other beast showed up the car parked next to me was a model X and just outside of the frame on the right side of the picture was the camera shop owner’s white plaid.

I thought everybody was broke? Literally nothing but hundred thousand dollar Tesla in this parking lot!

Competition is always there. So the middle CT is winning because it's lifted higher then the other two. Let's go! ☺

I haven’t seen any discussion of CT gender on this forum. I may have missed it

I love finding another CT in the wild. I once walked a block to my destination just so I could park my CT next to another CT. We gotta stick together! Plus how else will I get a door ding if I don't park next to a CT.

Many people name their vehicles (and there's a place you can enter that on a Tesla, so you can tell them apart on the app if you have more than one).

A name might suggest some non-gender-specific attribute (like "Enterprise"). In English although not all other languages, ships tend to be regarded as female (sailors wanted to feel favored by that which they depended on and maintained). For other sorts of vehicles, the name or other connotations might imply gender. Some military aircraft were once informally named after wives, girlfriends, mothers, or glamorous women. Although I don't think anyone wants to name an A-10 after a woman. :)

But nobody I know of has built a car or truck that's also a self-reproducing robot.

So vehicle gender is abstract, not an actual function. Being versatile (off road, work truck, bad-ass daily driver, or soccer mom?), a Cybertruck could reasonably be thought of either way.

I didn’t always name my cars, but I started a few decades ago and have pretty consistently since then.

Volvo S 60 - Sven
Infiniti G 35S - Hiro [Show Heroes was out at the time].
FJ - Bluesephus
C7 - Thor (Boy) - [because it’s white & thunders also avengers was out at the time].
C8 - Mighty Thor (Girl)
M3P - Pearly
MSP - Lumina
CB - LEO [Not law-enforcement, but “Low Emissions Off-road” also reference to the zodiac sign since I got the car in late July] Since the beginning though I’ve been partial to Silver as in the Lone Ranger. Hi Ho!
