Cybertrucks on transport crashes in Colorado Springs

Saw this on the local news. Haven’t heard of any VINs assigned to fellow Coloradans yet so not sure where these were headed. Maybe Montana (looks like there are some assigned VINs in MT according to the VIN tacking thread)?

Way back, their were 6 aircraft fuselages that came off from a derailed train. They scrapped all 6 of them. What do you think they do with these Cybertrucks, Scrapped sell as salvage or continue to deliver them for a discount to the buyer?

Well, unlike aircraft fuselages, Cybertrucks are finished products. And just like the rest of the vehicles in the collision, they'll be inspected and checked or damage. And they were up top, above all the smashing, so they might be fine.

Pretty wild it survived, considering how sought after they are for people who have waited 4+ years hopefully that one is ok

Tesla's aren't delivered in Montana. Washington, Idaho, Utah, or even Colorado service centers take care of us, and deliver our cars.

Also hard to decipher as which way headed. Can't see why it would be headed south from CO springs. My guess those are CO trucks.

We don't have any vins on the forum in CO yet so we? Fountain and i25 is pretty close to the Colorado springs SC but I'd be surprised if they delivered from there just because all CT activities have been in Denver

There’s a few of us with early-to-mid December FS orders out of COS but I’ve not heard of or seen anyone report being assigned a VIN yet.

I also cannot find a source to indicate if this was on the SB side or NB side as most sources note both sides were closed due to the accident. I really can’t imagine why these would be SB at that location. My guess is they were NB heading somewhere from ATX.

Yep. No reason to go south when one came from the south to begin with. One doesn't backtrack with a full load.

So just think of it from where it has to go logically vs. VIN assignment.

Kansas City nope different route.
Omaha nope different route.
No SC's north in WY, SD, MT

So again going with CO.
