I just decided to take off my CyberWheel cover and I’m blown away how much damage they do to the factory rims. It’s not like these are steelies the rims underneath are actually nice if you don’t like the covers.

Has anyone here addressed these concerns with a Tesla SA. Is this damaged covered under the warranty? I’m just curious 🧐

The wheel covers are an oxymoron. They do more harm than Good.

Mines getting bought back, but when I originally picked it up, they swapped out my core wheels for cyber wheels because of the damage caused by the wheel covers on the core wheels.

I threw away. The wheel covers the day after I got the new cyber wheels.

i got mine replaced under warranty. others have too but others i have seen get denied as well. all you can do is give it a try. i believe someone on this forum mentioned that he was able to polish the scuffs out so that may be an option. if you do get them replaced or polished up, throw the stupid covers in the trash. they dont affect your range that much anyway.

appreciate that information I haven’t heard of anyone doing a warranty claim on the rims so I wasn’t sure. I will definitely consider addressing this. Because like others have said they do more harm than good it seems.

This is what they did for me. But since they were out of the core wheels, they gave me the free upgrade to the cyber wheels.
Do you miss the core wheels? Did you notice a difference in road feel from the change?

I still have the original Perelli all season tires mounted on my cyber wheels.

It’s been that way since 30 days of purchase. I noticed no difference between the core wheels that I used to have for the first four weeks versus the cyber wheels that I’ve had now for almost a year.

Additionally, I’ve driven multiple loaners with both cyber wheels as well as the Goodyear all-terrain tires as they normally come in that set up, and I noticed a little bit more road noise with the Goodyear all-terrain’s than I do with my cyber wheels with the Perelli’s.

In my opinion, the range is minimally affected. I would say maybe 5 to 7 miles at the most on a full charge.

The tires are what make the difference.
The Perelli all seasons are simply amazing tires for road use. The good years look more rugged aesthetically and have slightly more road noise. The problem with the good years is the delamination of the noise dampening foam from what I’ve read.

If I was to change from the current OEM Perelli all season tires, I will upgrade to the Perelli ATX

Oh yeah I was hoping for that upgrade too, but no.. they didn’t have the core wheels in stock but they were just like come back next week and we will have them ready for you… can’t complain too much since I was getting brand new rims…

Didn't your buyback get approved in the beginning of march? what's taking so long?
