Soooo picked up CT Friday and last night used the single wiper button 3 times on a drive. The 3rd time the wiper did not go back up to original position. I had to pull over and then tried to press the button again to get the wiper to move back up. Nada. Waited another minute and tried again. And it worked but that was VERY unsettling. Anyone else? I was in a highway with heavy traffic so a little scary.

Day 2 I was driving for an hour with A/C on fan speed 3 (in Florida heat/humidity) and all fine as it’s was first day. Then rolled down window for a second to order a coffee and all hell broke loose. The entire windshield and side windows completely fogged up. I realize this had to do with heat outside glass not matching up with cooled inside. So I tried to equalize (as other posters have mentioned) by turning A/C off to let cabin become warmer…parked and waited..and sweated and used wiper and nothing changed. Another posted had suggested windshield defogger (high blast) and did that 10 minutes. Nada. Fortunately I was a mile from home and used the wiper (after it started working again) see above, but I’m hoping there’s a better way somehow because if that happened on an interstate I’d be SOL.

I’ve connected my phone to CT, Bluetooth, synced contacts etc but my outgoing calls will not connect through to CT and I’m having to hold phone to ear. Same for incoming calls. It rings in the truck but when I answer it defaults to my phone. As mentioned before, voice commands to call also show “action failed”. Only voice command I’ve got right now is fold mirrors ?

Lastly, yesterday morning I was driving about 18mph in my neighborhood and at a blind corner two girls whizzed in front of me on bicycles and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting them. I was shook. I was also stunned the CT had zero reaction to this. Zero. Not a warning sound or any type of brake assist. Considering many of you have had phantom shadow braking, this seems odd. All the safety features are enabled.

Everyday is a new adventure and a dream to drive. Let me know if you salty experts know anything about the above?

1. The wiper will stop/rest at the lowered position. It's not a glitch, it's intentional.
2. The fog is in the inside. You would use the cooled window defogger/not heat (works pretty quick, tried in Florida as well).
3. It could be a few things. You may not have provided full permission to the phone when pairing. I would try to re-pair.
4. Regarding AEB, see below: The key piece is "unavoidable".

Cybertruck is designed to determine the distance from detected objects. When a collision is considered unavoidable, Automatic Emergency Braking is designed to apply the brakes to reduce the vehicle's speed and therefore, the severity of the impact. The amount of speed that is reduced depends on many factors, including driving speed and environment.

When Automatic Emergency Braking applies the brakes, the touchscreen displays a visual warning and sounds a chime. You may also notice abrupt downward movement of the brake pedal. The brake lights turn on to alert other road users that you are slowing down.

Emergency braking in progress
Automatic Emergency Braking operates only when driving between approximately 3 mph (5 km/h) and 124 mph (200 km/h).

Automatic Emergency Braking does not apply the brakes, or stops applying the brakes, when:

  • You turn the steering wheel sharply.
  • You press and release the brake pedal while Automatic Emergency Braking is applying the brakes.
  • You accelerate hard while Automatic Emergency Braking is applying the brakes.
  • The vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, or pedestrian is no longer detected in the front or rear of the vehicle.
Automatic Emergency Braking is always enabled when you start Cybertruck. To disable for your current drive, shift into Park and touch Controls > Autopilot > Automatic Emergency Braking. When disabled, the touchscreen displays a visual message.

The wiper is normal behavior. Sometimes it stays in the down position for a minute or two to allow the water it wiped down to exit to the side. If it were to immediately return to up the water it wiped down would trail up your windshield. If you really do not want it to be down switch the wiper to off will return it to the up position.

I would ask service to look at the defogger options if you tried both heat and cold defogging and neither worked the vent might be blocked.

The wiper when pressed once is always swiping once down to clear and then back up. It has never stayed down on the windshield before, it has always done a complete swipe down and back to up position. The condensation was on the outside of the windshield and the wiper would clear it and then it would immediately build back up on the outside glass and had to continue wiping it away. With my phone, I’ve unpaired it three times and reconnected with no success. And yes, I see what you’re saying about unavoidable and that makes sense. I suppose I was hoping it’s sensors would be faster than human reaction but glad I was paying close attention!

Did you try the defogger? It's the blue icon. IMO works pretty well on my truck. Amber is the defroster.

I did. I noted in my post that was my first attempt to fix as another poster mentioned that would be the thing to do when the whole windshield fogged up. I’m hoping that will resolve as other posters mentioned similar situations called off gassing with new vehicles overtime.

The wiper only pauses at the bottom when over a certain speed (40PMPH I believe).

As for the fogging. My M3P does this a lot as I cruise around with temp 69. Turn air back on to stabilize or the blue defrost button should clear it. Kicks on heat or something bc cabin get warm quick when on. But for Highway speeds it clears much faster then in park with windows down. I always spray the bug juice with rainX bc most times water spots just smere my rainX until I reapply.
