Did you read this from the OP?
Missed it. Thanks for the heads up.

1) So sorry about your loss OP. That’s far more important than anything else in this thread. There aren’t ever enough words for that sort of event in one’s life.

2) If that is true it would be highly unusual. With all of our Tesla purchases the paperwork on pickup day was extensive with a lot of signatures but assuming those were all taken care of somehow electronically we always still had to sign off on the final delivery that we accepted the vehicle. So this presumes Tesla signed off on that for the purchaser then authorized a delivery from a third party without signature or proof of delivery… which would place the stupid decision in that Tesla delivery center’s responsibility. I’ve never heard of a Tesla delivery center that was that callous with a vehicle so if that’s what happened, damn. In that case the OP should absolutely go after the management there.

What a bizarrely improbable series of concomitant unfortunate events. Wow.

No, the OP decided NOT to pick up their vehicle in person.

I am sure that all signoffs were completed BEFORE the transport company picked up the car.

This is all because of the dealership laws in the Northeast.
AFAIK, Vermont and Maine have to pick up from Paramus NJ.

What are you trying to say is different from what I said? I seem to have missed your point entirely.

“3rd party carrier”… You may want to review your agreement with the carrier. I highly doubt Tesla did this without an additional agreement.

When I had my 3 delivered Tesla handled everything and I had no contact with the delivery company until the vehicle showed up. Tesla hired the carrier, not me.

I just received my Cybertruck after waiting 5 years.
So disappointed!
Somewhere between the factory and my home, someone took it for a 'Joyride' of about 34 miles. The inside was covered in dirty handprints and there was even an empty 'Redbull' can in the rear drivers seat pocket. Also, because it had 2 recalls before I even took possession of it, it came missing the windshield wiper end cap and the Frunk is about 3/4" out of alignment on the right hand side (Facing the truck) probably from when they had to remove the wiper motor on recall. The tires look like they definitely have some mileage on them. And last but not least, the inside white trim is coming loose around the steering column assembly. I do need to add that because I live in Maine, I had to pay Tesla an extra $750.00 to have a 3rd party carrier deliver the vehicle so I was not home when they dropped it off. I tried to check the camera history only to find that it had all been deleted.
Has anyone else experienced this 'New Vehicle' condition?

Third party carriers will often take cars for joy rides also roast the tires on performance vehicles.
