Delivery scheduled soon - payment?

I’ve got delivery scheduled for next weekend!

Thus far, I’m planning on putting down 50k and financing the rest. I’ve read in the forums that for payments above 50k, I would need to wire it? I was thinking maybe doing 49k then and bringing a check instead. Does it have to be a bank certified check or would a personal check suffice?

anything else I should be aware of before delivery day? Thanks!

I am also picking up a truck next Saturday. Here's what I've found...
It seems that pre-delivery communications are hit or miss. I would suggest that once you get a directed text in the app regarding your truck, I would maintain a dialogue with them.
I reserved last Monday and they wanted me to do delivery late this week! I did not know if I could move money and line up insurance, etc in the 4-to 5-day window, and told them so. I kept updating them of my progress, and when it became apparent that one of my ACH transfers would not post in time, they allowed me to push delivery back to next Saturday.
Another potential buyer had some steps in the pre-delivery checklist lingering. Assumed he could do it on the morning of delivery. Without warning, he got notified by Tesla that they canceled his delivery because he had not completed tasks, without warning him ahead of time. Then they said, "Come in today and we can still get it done."
So, I would say keep up interaction with Tesla in the app. Ask any questions or concerns. Be sure that your planned payment method will be acceptable by them. (They say wire transfers can take a few days and they won't release a vehicle until the money is posted to their account). If they happen to call you at any point, save that local number. If you have to call them, have your RN handy as that numberis the magic key to speaking to a live person. Good Luck!!

Although I didn’t try myself, I highly doubt they’d take a paper check on delivery day. Like 99.99% sure that’s a no-go. Your delivery will get canceled before you get there. Struggle your way through a wire transfer.
