Hey guys, I just posted my full experience installing Hansshow’s digital rear view mirror.

I wanted to make sure others who decide to buy it have a smoother install than I did, so I put a lot of time into documenting and explaining the process.

If anyone has any questions I’d be glad to answer them.

Good job with the wiring. Prefer this route vs others I saw but would go with a different mount on the bumper or a high point for towing. Looks like the minute you use your hitch, you are SOL. Related note, I'd like to see someone come out with a housing for those cameras that better fits the CT.

Thanks! ☺
You can totally mount this anywhere the cable can reach. I’m sure someone could create a 3D printed cyber housing.
Would be pretty cool to mount it on the aero flap, and get a higher vantage point ?

I’m yanking mine. Connection where the screw goes in not super flush, slightly wiggles.. Level 10 install. Very easy to mess up GPS and that torx screw is impossible to get to. Gravity working against you. I couldn’t even get the mirror to really sit flat with the screw tightened down. At this point the head of the screw is toast. Wish that install was easier.

I left similar feedback to Hansshow. I can see its potential but it seemed super flimsy and yeah solo install was super hard with that screw. And my GPS was 20m off so correcting all that means ripping it all apart again.

The factory screw is much better quality and I think the cables they provide are too long for the power feed and front camera. But I also think it crushes the cables as you tighten it down. Like I said there screw is just killed from me trying to take it apart and put it back over and over.

I also wonder about the way the camera wire is routed and it conflicting with the side curtain air bag.

Believe after messing with this a few times I earned my self a APP_w142 error camera calibration. If it doesn't go away this may be a SC visit.

Edit: Possible the APP_w142 issue was the front bumper camera being dirty and just a crisis of doing these things at the same time. Last 50 miles after cleaning no further error.
