I guess I don't understand why some people want to see in the bed or fixate on the car behind them. I'm totally happy with the way it was delivered. I guess it has to do with whether or not you've been driving trucks and vans for many years that had no rear view and no camera and realize it's not necessary.
I've spent many years driving trucks and vans with no review view mirrors.

Visibility > No Visibility. Always.

Things that have happened while I have hauled and visibility would help.
  • Failing tie downs
  • Seeing how speed/wind is trashing around plants, slowing if needed
  • Tarps beginning to rip in the wind
  • Passengers in back during Halloween or hayrides
  • Keeping tonneau cover open long enough to dry out the bed
  • Watching a dog enjoying 55mph winds up their nose
  • On this product you now have an additional angle to record theft or vandalism
    • I remember someone on this board had a racoon break into the vault because the CT looks like a dumpster. It would have been fun to see that video.

I agree! I love being able to see what’s going on with whatever I have in the bed of the truck.

Just makes me laugh as my low tech mirror that came with my Hybrid lets we see all I need to see behind me or in my truck bed. I don't need some electronic wiz bang item to install this part here, then this other part there, etc.

Sometimes some of you all just seem so crazy on getting these high tech gadgets or something else. When many normal ICE cars/trucks or even other EV vehicles have many of these items standard that you all are willing to spend hundreds on. Seems like a truck that costs 70K to 110K most of this should be included in the base price.

I tried one of these types of cameras, had the same exact software as this one, and the software is horrible, can’t turn off the time, can’t remove some of the controls, couldn’t adjust brightness. My current screen has one button and switches between the 2 feeds(it can’t control brightness either, the only downside)

2 reasons mainly for me. 1, I have my tailgate down when driving with my quad in the bed and love being able to still see behind me. and 2. the camera up top keeps it clean pretty much always.

I'm waiting for someone to do this right. The two I've tried were garbage, both from Hansshow. These are overpriced adaptations of much cheaper models you can find on Amazon/TEMU. They are taking a $150 mirror, adding some connectors and cheap mount arm, and marking it up to $500.

Just a suggestion to any of the vendors who might be on here.

I don't need to see the time and date in my mirror, and if your mounting arm is so weak that the mirror bounces when driving over bumps, try again.

I’ll share that information with the manufacturer

The biggest problem I have with the Hannshow and ultimately this mirror is the mounting location and screw. That single screw wasn't designed for a heavy mirror to be hanging on it and eventually you will strip out that screw hole. The mirror also blocks a large amount of visibility out of the front of the windshield. I would love for someone to come up with a dash mounted version or a mirror that mounts to the top of the screen. That would be ideal for me. If anyone finds one please let me know.
I have one and attached my radar detector to the mirror with a metal mount, no problems with stability. Been using it for several months. The screw is long and there is a second post in the mirror for stability.

I ordered one and have it installed. I used the Black Friday code, but I didn't know I could the Rick code too. $412.50. It took about 10 days to get here.

Rick, Thanks for your YouTube video, it helped a lot, I wish I'd have thought to use your code.

I've only driven a few times with it so far but I think it's great.

I'm not a truck driver, I'm used to being able to see behind me, but the tonneau cover is almost always closed, so the low tech rearview mirror is generally useless.

I don't mind the the rear view on the screen, but the camera on the tail gate gets obscured pretty bad when it's raining. I'm hoping this one does better up where it it.

Also, we have a MX and I love the automatic blind spot camera when signaling.
On the CT, when enabled the display changes from rear view to blind spot, but that throws me off, I still want to see the rear view.
When going between the MX and CT it's a pain going between looking up on the MX and down on the CT. I use the rear view a lot, always trying to maintain situational awareness.

I mounted the camera a little further back so I can see inside the bed as much as possible.
More wire shows, but I'm ok with that.

I don't think I'll ever install the front camera and I have recording off, I just want the rear view mirror.

There’s a new version of the S92 that includes automatic dim/brightness with a sensor.
https://www.tesstudio.com/products/...streaming-rearview-mirror-recorder-tesstudio®

I would be cautious with this vendor - I bought an S92 back in March when my truck was new. It was DOA (professionally installed), and they requested it be shipped back, after difficult support interactions through WhatsApp. Tesstudio has no support lines and operates solely out of China, only use WhatsApp for support.

I spent $85 USPS to send the unit back, have shipping confirmation information, provided that to the company several times. Each time they apologize and have an excuse - promise immediate shipping. Excuses have included waiting for supply, couldn’t find the return, and one message that said they “forgot”, would ship immediately.

As it stands today I have no mirror, am out the original purchase price and the $85 spent sending it back to China. I have had success with multiple other Tesstudio products, such as screen swivels for our CT and Y. However, it’s clearly hit or miss with this vendor.
