VERY nice wrap and color. I see your great responses but don’t see “mistakes along the way”. Top three mistakes?

1. Alcohol = tacky, soap solution = slippery. Allowing the alcohol to fully evaporate before applying the right mixture of soap and water so that the panels slide and can be moved in place.
2. Be diligent about the amount of material for rolling the edges.
3. Don't rush when rolling the edges

Another lesson learned: syringes work great for extracting air bubbles. Poke a hole with the needle and suck the air out - works like a champ!

I unfortunately had the opposite experience. After many hours cleaning and polishing, I tried the diy tesbros avery Dennison metallic gloss black.
it was nearly impossible to make look decent. After 5th panel and 7 hours I scrapped the idea. Wasn’t worth my time or frustration despite the excellent videos to follow…

Was that a vinyl wrap? I would think that is more challenging since it is a dry install... PPF is applied wet which gives you the ability to move the panels.

Looks great. How was Alta Mere on pricing? Have a quote in McKinney that seems a bit high for 70% windshield and 15% on windows.

I did Vinyl DIY,

#1 Mistake : Which I fixed 50 % into the project, Need a A/C in the garage with fkng texas heat it was horrible ... Have a portable unit in the garage to keep you and surroundings cooler. You have more patience that way

#2 Mistake : Incase of Vinyl, heat gun is your friend, ..... "did I say best friend" .... I realized after wasting around 20 feet Vinyl.

#3 Mistake - Extra hands : Take help from friend or someone who has interest in same and can contribute.

Yes, vinyl. I agree, seems trickier than PPF…
