Does anyone else hope the funky hubcaps / wheel covers aren't in the final design?

As handsome and rugged as the CT wheel covers look they do hang out there a bit and it's a sure bet that these will be the first things to get ripped off. For off roading and narrow bridge crossing these will end up as litter each time a rock or guard rail comes into contact. As wide as it is, inches count.

If you look at all other Tesla wheels, they have an aerodynamic design. I wouldn’t be surprised if the default wheel on CT is that way as well, may be with a bit more bad ass look without sacrificing efficiency.

Agree, that was my first reaction as well and wheels look just fine without covers

Yeah,
There are a thousand different rims on the market, but these hubs are the ones!
if you take off the hubs your wheels won't look unique! Therefore I will keep them on

I think the wheel covers look cool. However, time will tell if they actually make it to the final design. If they're plasticky and cheap, there will most likely be more durable aftermarket alternatives.

I like the stock ones, but when it comes time to replace them I'll be looking for some flat ones that match the body.

It may look like this. I personally like the original design. I am sure they can make an EV version of it.

I like this look. Given the option I will get a little less aggressive tread and a more efficient tire as well. Every little bit helps with the range and noise.
