Tesla says, ‘stay tuned?’

In an interview with Bloomberg, Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen said that the company has considered these two vehicles for its lineup, but he would not give a definitive “yes” or “no” regarding their development:

“Those are definitely things we’ve considered. Wait & see is probably the best way I can answer that. We’re working on so many innovative & fun things.”

What do you guys and gals think?

It would make sense their design architecture would eventually morph into vehicles more akin to the Cybertruck in the somewhat distant future. I would say a cybervan would be more likely to be announced next year and the X and S refresh could have more cyber design elements within the next vehicle refresh if the roadster takes this design path as well.

Wow, you guys are cynical I’m surprised! I don’t think Franz is a particularly good liar so my money is on something and probably the announcement at least of some sort of SUV it might not be cyber, but that’s what I think.

I also think the new roadster will be fully announced within 12 months and probably the Robo taxi and Optimus. Probably not delivered, but at least announced and able to be ordered.

I think it’s natural Franz would have made or at least thought of some designs using the same design language or CT as a base for other models but reality is the CT never took off. My guess is they will price the CT with the S and X and can any planned variations of the CT permanently. Cheaper models of the Y and 3 are all I see happening soon.

We like our Rivian R1S and hope that Tesla introduces a CyberSUV comparable to the R1S but with Unsupervised FSD and with the 240V NEMA 14-50 AC outlet as in the Cybertruck. Rear wheel steering and unlimited free supercharging for life, too. Good opportunity there for a good new vehicle design.
