Here is a simple, low cost, low impact DIY to attach a storage net to the frunk interior. This really improved the utility of the frunk for me and is completely reversible with no holes, glue or any other change to the truck.

All you need are six binder clips and an envelope style net. A trim tool will help with the installation. Here is the result:

You'll need the following materials:
  • Six ½ inch capacity binder clips,
    • The correct size clip is the second one from the left in the row of four in the photo.
  • A 32.5 inch X 15 inch envelope-style storage net.
Simple steps!
  • Loosen the top of the frunk's center panel (with the Cybertruck logo)
    • Use a trim tool or other tool that won't mar the panel.
  • Pull the panel away just enough to do attach the clips.
  • Place two clips on each top corner of the panel, as shown so the clips' handles overlap.
    • The two clips work together to keep either clip from moving around under a load.
  • Flip each clip's two handles towards the center of the panel.
  • Place one clip near each corner of the bottom of the panel.
    • There is very little load on these clips, so no need for the double clip approach.
  • Flip these clips' handles towards the center of the panel, too.
  • Put the panel back in place
    • Press along the panel's top edge so all its fasteners snap in place.
  • Attach the four corners of the net to the clip using the clip handles as shown in the photo.
    • Remove the each clip's exposed handle from the clip body one at a time and thread them through the net's attachment loops and re-insert them in the clip body
    • No need for any of the attachment hardware that comes with the net.
  • You're done!

Those metal clips will certainly leave a mark as they work back and forth under load. I think maybe just adding a small rubber or thick plastic piece under them would be enough to protect the frunk wall.

Great idea! No 3d printer needed, no holes, no mess.

Good point! I added a small, adhesive-attached plastic dot, typically used for non-slip feet on small items, between the clips and the face of the panel. It looks like it would prevent any damage to that part of the panel, at least. Here is the result:

I'll see how this works, but it may be better to glue some thin padding material (felt? leather?) to the inner surface of the clip, depending on how much movement I see. I'll use it like this for a while as a test.

Thanks, Pops!
