You just can’t resist the urge to pull random politics into a completely unrelated conversation?
I don't know that it's really politics. The guy was a bloviating hype machine and hypocrite, and a liar to boot. Calling out one person for being stupid is not politics.

See, you slander the guy but don't bother to say what he lied about.

Did he lie about the internet? No.

Did he lie about Love Story? No.
http://www.dailyhowler.com/h052500_1.shtml

Was the hockey-stick wrong? No.

And see, that is how your comment was political. Because it was untrue slander.

For one, he lied about how soon we'd all be dead, and he even admitted he thought he needed to exaggerate to be taken seriously. This isn't politics. Global climate change is simple fact. But lying about it made things worse, not better, to those who want to make it political.

I'm sorry, I cannot find the quote you're not quoting.

I also can't find evidence for your certainty that he was exaggerating. In fact, the last twenty years has shown that many of the worst-case probabilities have been the most accurate.

See, the fact that you throw shade is the politics you deride. Actually deal in facts. They're inconvenient.
