I could not have said it better Bryan. ??

"Power corrupts" is a over simplification.
But it is dangerous to take one mans actions and blame a whole group of people or organisation in general.

Everybody looks at the world from his (limited) perspective and his past experiences.

It is sometimes good to "look over the rim of your own plate" (old german saying translateed), and see what (has) happens (ed) in the world.

In view of our history, I tend to shiver, reading harsh comments about certain groups of people today.

Ordinary people/union officials/socialists/kommunists/etc. have been interned in KZs and killed over here.

This is how it starts, so better think twice. Before we start down the slippery slope.

You might be in one of those groups yourself some day.:alien:
Re your last sentence, T.C., I know of a case where an employee was unionized against his wish, later had a problem with management, and was saved by the union!

What is "KZ"?

Ya'll get quite worked up about the Unions........ Don't be it is not a real problem.
and

There are Union representatives on the company board resisting the necessary change to EV. They (try to) fight a loosing battel.
And there's the contradiction, unions and fast moving technology firms that have an increasing use of robots to replace people have an in built conflict. The result of which will be slower innovation, higher product prices and lower profits (with lower stock price growth).

Andy you have spotted a bump in my post ..... but I believe we both are ticking very similar.

please consider this:

If I mean a real problem that would be e.g. eliminating gravity......
not finding a compromise that keeps people in their jobs, or otherwise employed.
Sometimes they inherited the tradeskill from their fathers and grandfathers.
The Unions are just doing their jobs to watch out for them.
The way they do it is to be argued, better avoid conflicts by consensus.
And yes that takes time, therefore BIG AUTO is at a disadvantage.

For Tesla , at the current state, this is not a problem, because they are expanding and building new factorys.

My second quote has been shortened a lot.....
I pointed out the problems in (very) old companys:
Daimler and Benz started >120 Years ago, and VW:
Gründer: Deutsche Arbeitsfront a NSDAP seedling
Gründung: 28. Mai 1937, Berlin , KDF Wagen 1938.
Has to carry its part of dark brown history (inherited jobs...come at a price)

Tesla Giga4 does not have a Unionproblem!
At the moment it is snakes ? and lizards, or the lack there off;).
But they will solve it for sure.

btw. I have pointed out a way for TESLA to keep unions out of Giga4.... it was just not quoted.?

If your focus lies on stock price groth you will wisely evade those "old companies" that have to "increase the use of robots" with all those nasty "people problems" caused by that. :censored:

I did it like that : sold my Daimler and Continental stock and bought TESLA. No regrets so far :D

Hi Alan,

one thing I like about international forums, like this is the diversity...

But it is a human error to asume (and yes I know : Ass out of U and ME ) sorry I did it again.

In Germany all kids in school are educated about our recent history with a special focus on 1938 - 1945. This is why I asumed..... everbody knew "KZ". I am very sorry for doing that.

The short answer is: it stands for "KONZENTRATIONSLAGER" = concentration camp.

SARCASM ON:
A bit similar to those camps US citizens, of Japanees decent, where put in during WW II in the USA.
They have thought you that in school I asume again.....
sarcasm of.

But realy take a good look at (my) german history. Do not forget!
And while you are at it.... every county/people has its darker spots. Remember them too.

Always put it in the whole picture, every day, every where.
It always starts with harsh language and a wrong sense off being better than...... just don't

btw. in Germany you can not be forced into a Union. People do it for the percieved personal benefits.
