Instead of following the green line to the correct left turn lane, FSD went through the red line to the opposite traffic lane.

I am pretty sure FSD won't pick this path if there was a car in its way but it did scare me a little bit along with that sharp left turn. I was glad there was no car approaching in that lane.

If another car isn't in the forest to see it happen. It didn't ?

Hmmm .... didn't you disengage before it could actually go to the other side ?

Mine does similar about 2 times, completely into oncoming lane of traffic in my simple 20 minute 15 mile drive into town. Horrible. I have about 8 interventions that are required for safety or to not me killed in that single drive every single time - have learned where they are. Actually it's making me use it less at times now for sure as its horrible.

If there had been a car in the lane, it probably would have handled it correctly. A car facing you better defines the intersection.

Looking at the intersection it is a little confusing. I wouldn't doubt that other drivers have gotten confused as well.

Are you supposed to go to the right of the yellow line? Which yellow line?
The interesting view would be that of the visualization on the screen. How does it see the intersection?

It was indeed one of the most confusing left turn i ever drove into, i didn't really upset or blame FSD. The wedge shape area between 2 yellow line has some rock landscape i believe trying to prevent the right turn vehicle from running into the vehicles waiting at the opposite stop sign. The right turn is very sharp turn with a steep downhill after the turn. Normal people, inexpensived or unfamiliar with the road, would definitely get confused, but they mostly would slow down or even possible stop in the T intersection to sort it out.

But FSD yesterday was very confident without any hesitation into the wrong lane… i will go there again today to repeat that route to see how the visualization looks like.
