Correct. i don't know that Tesla will ever get to L5, but it's unnecessary. It could be L4 with the exception of snow or paved roads and that would be completely sufficient for RTs in 95% of scenarios.
I doubt that Tesla ever gets certified as Level 3, not because it can't, it's because the SAE levels are kinda technical bullcrap now. Designed in a different era using rules that really don't exist anymore.

The SAE levels were designed by a knowledgeable few, and as most every standard, diluted by the bureaucracy with crystal ball knowledge of the future. Reality and AI have created a much different picture than were in those original crystal balls.

BTW, how many humans go through the SAE Levels? Why not? That's where AI paints a very different picture.

Why do you think that I keep repeating the answer to your question?

That's because it is the answer. I didn't create it, it's a common question that someone else figured out a long time ago.
Well when I get my truck back, I'm gonna try it, and you get a cookie if it works.
Cookie for you. Just got the truck back, and this works. Thanks

Instead of trying to be sneaky, maybe you should report these get arounds to improve the system. I'm a motorcyclist and the last thing I want is to get run over by someone doing "Unimaginable things" while using FSD... Not likely to happen but not impossible. Please drive/FSD responsibly.

HOW? I’ve been using FSD for 3 years and I’ve literally never had a strike.

WTF?!!!
My comment was me bitching about the moron trying to game the system.

Actually, now I'm not sure. I have not been able to engage fsd since setting this up. I have done about 120 miles of highway driving since getting the truck back, so either the cameras need recalibrated after service and they didn't initiate the process, or having a profile without fsd is preventing autosteer on the latest software.
And since the calibration process is so long, I can't get to the bottom of this quickly.

I was so happy to get the truck back before my weekend trip so I could use fsd on the highway. But it isn't working, and more frustrating than that, I don't know why. If it would just tell me why, I wouldn't be so annoyed. All it says is autosteer temporarily unavailable

EDIT: The calibration does have a progress indicator, which I didn't know until I initiated it. Once I did, it calibrated in about 10 miles, and drove me the rest of the way home on FSD

I’ve been using fsd sense late 2021 when city streets was first released. You guys will all be trusting the system a lot more once you get 100k miles driven on it like I have. The one thing that does worry me about my 90% unmonitored usage is like a tire or debree in the road which we all know the vehicles will not stop for or avoid… but it’s a risk Ive managed to avoid for 3 years. Hopefully we get an update soon where the car may be able to react to such an instance. I remember the time where it didn’t see any speed bumps and here we are today with the vehicles aware of some speed bumps.
Below is a video from this weekend watching the UFC event while on the freeway ?
