I doubt that Tesla ever gets certified as Level 3, not because it can't, it's because the SAE levels are kinda technical bullcrap now. Designed in a different era using rules that really don't exist anymore.Correct. i don't know that Tesla will ever get to L5, but it's unnecessary. It could be L4 with the exception of snow or paved roads and that would be completely sufficient for RTs in 95% of scenarios.
The SAE levels were designed by a knowledgeable few, and as most every standard, diluted by the bureaucracy with crystal ball knowledge of the future. Reality and AI have created a much different picture than were in those original crystal balls.
BTW, how many humans go through the SAE Levels? Why not? That's where AI paints a very different picture.
