Deliveries and production were down. Most knew they would be as Tesla was in a transition year, regardless of what Elon said.

I believe it's the first year Tesla has gone down in deliveries. Just a few years ago they were increasing by 30% YoY, which obviously isn't sustainable.

Exactly. It's very tiring to have to explain to people all the time that it's not a measure of company health to grow each and every year. In fact, if a company does that for too many years in a row, it's an immediate red flag for me.

Elon guaranteed growth this year and many investors pumped that up. The stock always rises and falls with deliveries. It's a car company after all. Tesla's stock is worth so much due to future innovations (FSD and robots mainly), but car sales always increase or decrease the stock.

I wish TSLA would do a massive stock split so I could dump my life's savings in before the robot taxi network is turned on.

When you consider factual information "FUD" you may have an issue with perception.
I'm going to bold the opinion portions of first few sentences in this article for you:

Jan 2 (Reuters) - Tesla (TSLA.O), reported its first decline in annual deliveries on Thursday, as the automaker handed over fewer-than-expected electric vehicles in the fourth quarter and incentives failed to boost demand for its aging line-up of models.
Shares of the company fell about 4%, indicating investor worries over the challenges facing CEO Elon Musk, who expected promotions including zero-interest financing to power a "slight growth" in deliveries in 2024.

Reduced European subsidies, a shift in the U.S. toward lower-priced hybrid vehicles and tougher competition especially from China's BYD have pressured Tesla.
In response, Musk pivoted Tesla to self-driving taxis and backed President-elect Donald Trump with millions of dollars in campaign donations in hopes that it could bring regulatory relief for the company.
Tesla handed over 495,570 vehicles in the three months to Dec. 31, missing estimates of 503,269 units, according to 15 analysts polled by LSEG. It produced 459,445 vehicles in the period, down about 7% from a year ago.

Deliveries for 2024 totaled 1.79 million, 1.1% lower than a year ago and below estimates of 1.806 million units, according to 19 analysts polled by LSEG.

With self-driving technology still years away, analysts have said Tesla would have to rely on cheaper versions of current cars and the Cybertruck to achieve Musk's target of 20% to 30% sales growth in 2025.

The truck, known for its futuristic design, has been showing signs of demand weakness, analysts have said.

Tesla has yet to break out deliveries for the Cybertruck
. The company said on Thursday it handed over 471,930 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles and 23,640 units of other models, including the Model S sedan, Cybertruck and Model X premium SUV.
It's astonishing to me the amount of people who walk this planet and can't distinguish between factual statements and opinions.

Most of the bold is true, though.

The line up is aging and Elon acknowledged this. He and Tesla said this is a transition period for the company before new products and RT is ready.

Actual unsupervised driving is still years away according to Tesla. There will be limited, geofenced version in Texas and potentially California next year, but not for the masses. By definition that's "years" as in not next year.

Tesla doesn't break out deliveries for the CT.

Not sure why they "polled" as the numbers were released by Tesla today, but most of the stuff you have issues with are factual.

You slap FUD on there, but do you really mean "stuff I don't like"?

I agree with most of the "opinions" as well.

Aging lineup - added by the writer, because they wanted to add a negative bias to the article. How do you even measure this? They don't nickel and dime customers every year with minor changes to the trim, so that means the Model S Plaid is a "aging" vehicle that is declining in sales because no one wants to buy it? So yeah, opinion and bias.

Actual unsupervised driving is still years - This is an opinion. Unless you time traveled from the future to deliver this news to us? I'll wager that Tesla starts operating the Cybercab in Austin this year.
