This sort of behavior has been discussed here before. Apparently FSD occasionally sees some darkness on the road surface, like a skid mark or an asphalt patch or even a long shadow, misinterprets it as an three-dimensional obstacle, and takes evasive action.

I don't want to start a debate about Tesla's vision-only approach, but it's probably true that lidar- or radar-equipped systems are less likely to make an error of this kind.
… but you did kind of start the debate didn’t you? Unfortunately, if Tesla had both cameras and lidar, while they were duking it out trying to decide what the skids marks were the car crashes. LiDAR isn’t perfect on its own either, so Tesla might as well try to keep heading in the current direction.

I'm tired of seeing people argue in favor of lidar lol. It isn't a magic pill, and it is extremely noisy; so not well suited for mobile, dynamic environments like driving. Humans don't have lidar, we have vision.
