FIRST VIN ASSIGNED IN NJ

My range is 54xx.. Strange so many ranges going to NJ..
Thought they would ship a bunch, same range, together.
Doesn’t appear so..

Just off the phone with Tesla to see where my CT is, now that I have a VIN.
They said still in Austin waiting for transport to Cherry Hill (NJ) service center. They said pickup should be (not promised) by mid April, so 2-3 weeks.
VIN range 54xx

Oh no not what I wanted to hear! Another 2 to 3 week wait? Crap, so 4 1/2 year wait to order. 92 day wait for a vin to be assigned. Now 2 to 3 week wait for delivery.

5. The advisor then spent 1 hour with me in the CT to go over EVERYTHING (every button, every menu item, feature, every piece paper) with me one by one. Probably 30 people went into the roped off area, attempted to take pictures, climb into my CT while I was sitting there. The advisor did a great job by exiting the tutorial session and redirecting them.

9. Met some overly friendly drivers on the road, one was getting a bit too close and cross the dash line impleading my line of traffic while did that with a huge smile. I guess you really can't get mad in that situation.

Are people just like this now? Like 5 year old children who either don't understand or think the rules don't apply to them?

Roped off area, let's walk inside because clearly it's roped off for us to go inside of and touch and sit in the truck that isn't ours.

Oh forget how dangerous it is to do, let me make aggressive maneuvers to drive next to the truck, and hold my phone up to record while I'm not watching the road.

Well, when you get your CT, especially now until the next few months, be prepared to get questions/ smiles/ phone cameras/ friendly waves kept throwing at you.

That's all fine. Being a hazard to everyone on the road so you can try to get a picture while driving is not.

Yeah, was hoping that my CT was in the SC and not Giga. But I did get an answer.
Guess you’re still waiting for your delivery date? Did Tesla tell you where your CT is?

No they didn’t tell me anything beyond that someone will reach out when they have a better idea when it will arrive at the sc. they didn’t give me it’s current location.

I’d call again and ask where it is.
Hopefully yours is in transit and not sitting in the outbound lot with mine

They are such bastards honestly. It's so hit and miss what they will and won't tell you. Very clearly my truck and @cyberHoward 's truck are travelling together to our showroom. and yet no matter what we do, they will not tell us the same thing. His truck is due to arrive on 4/6, "confident ETA", and mine is 4/8 "non confident". Our trucks were certainly on the same train, and will certainly travel on the same car hauler from chicago. But for some reason they can't be bothered to give up to date info.

They told him that his truck is in chicago, mine they will only say "in transit". Why not give us the same info? not one single clue.

sometimes they choose not to commit anything because they don’t know for sure, or don’t want to set specific expectations until they know for sure - otherwise it will be MORE frustrating.

I’m sure the dealership is doing their best. They are prob just as frustrated as you with the allocation methodology.

Thanks Ed, I was just sharing it, hard to interpret it as good or bad as they are so vague. Every day is a day closer. I have a buyer interested in my jeep so this makes it hard for me to keep him on the line and interested because I can’t tell him when I can sell it.
