Thanks Ed, I was just sharing it, hard to interpret it as good or bad as they are so vague. Every day is a day closer. I have a buyer interested in my jeep so this makes it hard for me to keep him on the line and interested because I can’t tell him when I can sell it.

suggestion:
Offer the Jeep buyer an inducement of a lunch and ride in the cybertruck as bonus for waiting… lol

Hi there,

I feel that Tesla was pushing as many CT before the end of Q1. Now that Q1 comes and goes, they are taking a little break... just human nature.

On Saturday, 3/30/24, the Tesla advisor (in Princeton/ Lawrenceville) told me that the last appointment to pick up CT#7 was planned at 9:30pm that night!! They normally don't open to that late, with exception for month end or last day of the quarter. While I was picking up my CT, there were literally 6 other people picking up their Model Y at the same time... no, they didn't get the special Cybertruck treatment with light and smoke machine and roped off area. Those Tesla employees were hard at work for sure!

I am feeling it for you guys... just hang in there. A short term rental (1-2 weeks) is not a bad idea as long as you have a projected date and the immediate buyer offers some great price. But, summer is coming, vehicle prices usually go a bit higher in the coming month anyway.

I’m heading to the Lawrenceville SC this morning, April 5th, to ask for an update in person. Day 8 since vin assignment and no word. I just happen to be passing by the store so I’ll see if I can get a location on the truck or not.

An update. My truck in at a rail yard in Chicago. Expected to be in north Jersey rail yard early next week and to Lawrenceville store by the end of next week. They don’t have confidence in the dates and said it would be possible my delivery would be at the end of next week or even the following week. There no Cybertrucks visible anywhere outside the store I walked the whole lot.

They don’t have confidence in the dates and said it would be possible my delivery would be at the end of next week or even the following week. I forgot one minor detail of the update. The sales rep said when it originally left Austin the original estimated date to Lawrenceville store was April 6 so it’s fallen behind schedule and transit by four or five days.

Lawrenceville holds most of their inbound vehicles in one or two of the parking lots at the Quaker Bridge Mall - very few vehicles, except those in service and being delivered at that moment, are at the store since the parking lot is so small. I often see the Tesla folks shlepping over vehicles from the holding lot across the overpass with no plates to bring them to the Lawrenceville center.

I purchased a used Model S Plaid a year ago and sure enough I found it at the holding lot (and took pics) a few days before the reps even told me it was inbound. The lot closest to Quaker Bridge road has used vehicles - I think both inbound and outbound - and the other giant lots have the new ones.

I scanned the lots last weekend and saw no Cybertrucks. Quite possible those would be held elsewhere to prevent prying eyes, fingers and possible damage.

Perhaps Tesla will use the earthquake as the uncontrollable reason for the delay. Just kidding!
