Two flat tires in a month both were told couldn’t be plugged. Had to be replaced due to weight of truck and sidewall damage. On my second flat, pulled over right away only movement up onto the ramp of the tow truck and backing off the ramp of the tow truck service center still said sidewall was damaged from that little driving while it was flat, seems odd to me any other experiences.

A damaged side wall is the kiss of death no commercial shop is going to repair that. If they’re telling you the weight of the vehicle is the issue, I guess what you should interpret that as is you don’t have any margin of error once that weight comes down on that tire and you’re rolling with it flat— it’s going to get destroyed.

You might want to step up your pre-drive inspection so that you can spot any air pressure issues before you get out there. If you went from nail to flat both times all during the same drive (in other words you didn’t pick up the nails on a prior trip and just did not notice them before your subsequent trip when you experienced the flat) then that’s just unlucky.

..Flat sucks...and most dealers will tell you that cannot patch 'any' tire...Small Mom & Pop tires shops will.

I've had performance cars...where there refusal to patch is common place...painful when they are $400+ tires.

..could be worse!: Audi on their all-wheel drive cars will insist you replace ALL 4 tires in the even one is bad...

I had a puncture and slow leak. Had to get a new tire. Tire never went down. the nail was brad size. I can't believe it actually went through. No one would fix it. I found a like new rim on ebay and now have a spare tire. Cost $900 total though!
