TLDR: hansshow sent me a full RGB footwell kit that you can control with the actual oem screen interface and it works perfectly. In my opinion this is how the truck should have come from the factory.
Hey everyone,
Wanted to share a quick writeup and my thoughts on the new Hansshow RGB Footwell Ambient Lighting Kit I just finished installing. If you feel like the lower half of the truck is a bit of a black hole at night or you would like to add more ambient color this kit completely changes the interior vibe.
Here is my pros and cons after getting it all wired up:
The Pros
Flawless OEM Integration: This is the biggest selling point. It syncs up beautifully with the Cybertruck's native center screen controls. When you adjust the factory ambient lighting colors or brightness on the display, the footwell lights match it perfectly. It looks completely stock.
Elevates the Interior: It fills out the cabin perfectly and leans heavily into that more premium aesthetic without looking tacky or aftermarket.
Solid Build Quality: The wiring harnesses all plug and play
Now the cons
The Install Process is Involved: This is definitely not a 5-minute plug-and-play job. To get to the factory ambient control module that you need to bridge into, you have to take apart a decent portion of the dash.
Tight Spaces & Clips: Popping factory panels off a new truck is always a bit nerve-wracking, and routing the cables cleanly to the footwells requires some patience.
Final Verdict
Despite the dash teardown being a bit of a project, I am incredibly happy with how this turned out. The seamless screen integration makes the tedious installation totally worth it. If you have a Saturday afternoon and don't mind g with some interior panels, I highly recommend this upgrade.
Let me know if anyone has questions about the wiring or the panel removal process!
