Works very well except making left turns
Agree, I was hoping the left turn issue would be fixed with this update. FSD still struggles at certain left turns. Some turns are spot on, while others I have to disengage FSD.

I’ve found, on occasion, running thru Stop Lights which I’ve intervene at least 4 times over the past 2 days. This is a BIG safety issue.

There are occassions I want to send a note about bad behavior without disengaging the FSD. How do you do that?

Mine speeds! Legit speeds!

I disengaged and sent a voice note "FSD is legit speeding, you have to fix this".

- Speeds like hell
- Aggressive AF when slowing down, turning certain lanes

Last night FSD doing 78 in a 70 was ridiculous. All I need is the scroll wheel control to bring it down like in previous models.
In most locations, that would be about the normal flow of traffic.

I guess in Texas it's too slow?

I drove about an hour with the new version this morning.

I found it to handle staying centered in the lane much better on the highway.

my biggest issues were;

- when getting off the highway onto a long straight ramp ending in a redlight with stopped cars, the Cyberbeast kept trucking at them full spead ahead. it saw the speed limit of the ramp as 70MPH and I had to, out of my own comfort, exit FSD and brake well before the Cybertruck was even slowing down from 70 MPH. I even have alot of trust in these systems having used sonar cruise control for years.

- approaching another redlight the CB was breaking way too slow approaching the back of a flat bed tow truck it could see stopped light.

So late / abrubt braking is my main issue with new V.

I was concerned regarding the tailgating. I try and maintain one car length for every 10 mph speed I’m traveling. I found myself repeatedly disengaging FSD to increase the following distance. Surprisingly, at night it maintained a more reasonable distance to the car ahead.

I have not experienced this at all. In fact, I think there is too much distance at times.

This was my main concern as well. It was tailgating very close and I almost had a car accident 2 days ago because the car in front me suddenly stopped.

I've been using the pre-12.5.5.2 release every day to drive to/from work. Today I had to intervene multiple times...

- Nearly entered junction while another car was passing
- Twice didn't slow down coming up behind cars slowed in traffic - I had to break very hard to stop and not rear-end the car in front.
- Waited in the middle divide for cars (coming from the opposite direction) to pass, but then paniced and shot across the junction and steered aggressively to stay on the road as it had creeped too far.

How did the performance change so much - in the wrong direction - with a minor release? Is every release going to be a potential murder mystery?

The late reaction (braking) towards standing traffic or slowing traffic is worse than before, and it was already bad in the previous version.
The behavior in traffic circles is worse and the wheel now jerks to correct, before it was smooth.
It touched a black bikelane pillar this morning that it has cleared countless times before.
And one of my biggest gripes is not following the posted speed limit, yet alone the selected percent increase. So there was no improvement. Even on empty roads it does not reach the speed limit unless encouraged. The higher the posted speed, the worse the adherence.
Left turns still cut across marked lanes too close for comfort,
And it still misses posted construction speed limit signs that are as clear as they can be.

Another senseless programming is slowing down on the interstate by 5-8 mph before the exist ramp, even though there is plenty of space to exit at full speed and roll it out. It pisses off the traffic behind me on a daily basis and it seems rather unnecessary.

I also have a daily repeat overwrite, as it does not recognize a now 5 months old right entrance ramp onto US23, and insists on attempting a 90 degree left hand turn while coming to a stop on a busy 2 lane thoroughfare. I recognize that this is not an FSD issue, but rather a nav issue, and I left a voice note asking for an update every day since FSD launched. Don’t know if there are other means to correct a nav / new traffic flow issue.

But I am still amazed what FSD can do.

Previous version of FSD worked really well with the tailgate down, new version does not work with tailgate down at all. Extremely frustrating.

yeah this is how it is. They will fix something then something else breaks. it can be frustrating.

Hit the update button for 12.5.5.2 or not? Posts here make me think just wait for the update after this.

I personally would wait. Nothing got better and it seems left turns are worse and unmarked roads it seems to ride down the middle at times. I am also unsure if it broke my ability to raise or lower my truck. That of course could have been broken during my service call last week.
