I know FSD isn't yet available for the CT, which is quite annoying given we're paying for it. Does this also mean that the alerts about being close to objects when backing up etc. are also not yet available?

That is correct.
However, the front bumper and rear tailgate cameras along with side views give a great overview of how close you are to objects.

I started paying for FSD over 6 years ago and it was quite awhile before much of any consequence came out.

The cars that starting shipping without the ultrasonic sensors 18 months ago took 6-9 months before they got it back.

How long do we think for the truck. Seems a big miss to not have it yet.

My Y has the FSD free trial right now. I tried it out for a road trip and was actually impressed. Not enough to want to pay $99/mo for it but enough to be sad that the truck doesn’t have it yet.

Theoretically, 12.5 will support Cybertruck and be released in late June. Might end up in July.

There is no telling, weeks, months? The last time something similar happened, the removal of the USS, it was about 9 months. But removing of USS required a whole new module, TeslaVision.
At this point, we're 6-7 months out. Hopefully soon.
