Cybertruck has wide scope and coverage and must be too sensitive.

In pir church, I can see images of people still coming down from the stairs going to the crosswalk.

Now I'm thankful it's not radar. It might wait for someone who is still in the shower but would be crossing the street later on. :p

You're supposed to stop before you enter where pedestrians could be. That's the actual, legal place to do it. You'd fail a driver's exam if you don't do it.

Which is almost always too far back to see around fences or whatever but that's the law. If there's a pedestrian there you don't see, they're going to really appreciate that you planned to stop before hitting them!

You don't like the product until it's better than you? Fine. Just remember its target is to be safer than you, not faster.

Like I said in my original post, I'm driving in "rural areas" where there are no pedestrians, sidewalks, or crosswalks. For my use case, it's impressive, just not worth spending money on. For others, it might be worth it now. For me, not yet. I either want it to drive like I expect it to behave, or I want to be able to take a nap or play on my phone while it takes me to my destination. In its current state, I might be a buyer at about 1/2 the current cost.

Same dream.

Mine is much humbler sitting at the back and watching Netflix while it's taking me from San Francisco to New York. :p

Although in typical Elon exaggeration, justifying the high pricea we paid for it, he said Cybertruck will earn money for us Ubering by itself as we sleep at home.

Trying my FSD Trial now on my ModelY.. very interesting bit of software..
Write a review please.

Check if it's hard braking (phantom) or in reaction to a car in front is gone.

Thanks,

...I walk, bike, hike, have been broken down, searching for survey markers, doing ditch cleanup, etc and really, really am disappointed in people who think just because they've scared away all the pedestrians that there couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't be any.

Cool!

None for Cybertruck as I know or as posted here.

Is it there and already installed?

Please write a review.

Got the notification to download V2024.3.10 (FSD V12.3.3) a couple of hours ago. Got it installed on my M3 and went for my first FSD ride. It is far from perfect, but it will absolutely get better. My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t honor the driver’s selection for acceleration mode. I prefer Chill. I have some neck issues, and when I'm driving my M3 and I punch the accelerator I can brace for it doesn’t bother me. But in FSD, I can’t predict when the car will start accelerating aggressively, and my neck doesn't like unbraced aggressive acceleration.

I've tried all three FSD driving modes Chill, Average and Assertive. Doesn’t matter which driving mode you select; it always accelerates aggressively.

Yeah, not sure why they have the option when they can't program for it yet. Maybe as a survey?

Thanks,
Phantom braking is the most over-hyped phenomena ever! Even when it used to be a regular occurrence. With FSD, I can't remember the last time I felt hard braking for no apparent reason. It's simply over-exaggerated, and even after all these years, no one has been injured or killed by it and it's quite rare these days anyway.

The different driving modes affect following distance and how eager FSD is to change to a faster lane and probably other things I'm not aware of.

I drove about 70ish miles today. Some city, some highway.. no phantom issues.. even in the rain.

however the alert about degraded full self driving was ever present.. (most likely because of the rain)

“Hard braking” because of another car is kinda relative.. many people drive with heavy feet and think 60-0 in 50ft is perfectly normal..

that being said, it breaks fine for the most part. I think it’s all circumstantial and inconsistent. Seems to do just fine with traffic lights regardless of how many cars in front…

Geez, you actually have to wait for injuries?

People here reported nearly being rear ended.

I myself would have had someone following me close.

The point is that it's not normal human braking unless it's an emergency.

What's wrong with you? o_O
