There are a number of setting in Auto pilot that you can change to customize how closely FSD adheres to the speed limit, vs goes with traffic. The 40% (default) is probably the one you could change to 5 to 10% to keep it tighter.I just want FSD to maintain the speed I select!!
When I turn on FSD for 62 MPH in a 60 zone, it will gradually increase. When I try to scroll it down, the max will indicate 73 and reduce as I scroll. It requires too much attention. Am I the only one having this problem?
If someone drove 62 in a 60 in front of me I think I’d want a horn upgradeI just want FSD to maintain the speed I select!!

Thanks, I'll try it!There are a number of setting in Auto pilot that you can change to customize how closely FSD adheres to the speed limit, vs goes with traffic. The 40% (default) is probably the one you could change to 5 to 10% to keep it tighter.
I’ve found that if I put it in “Hurry” mode and then dial the Max speed down to my desired MPH that it works great. It will always try to run at the Max set point. Only problem is every time it passes a different speed limit sign it will default back to the Original maxI just want FSD to maintain the speed I select!!

Every once in awhile the police get testy on this stretch, so I've learned to be cautious! If someone drove 62 in a 60 in front of me I think I’d want a horn upgrade
It’s funny. I feel the same and in a way I’m just desiring old school adaptive cruise control! HaI just want FSD to maintain the speed I select!!

It shouldn't be that hard. When FSD first came out, it would still monitor speed limit without automatically increasing way over!I’ve found that if I put it in “Hurry” mode and then dial the Max speed down to my desired MPH that it works great. It's not hard. You can set a max speed that will be the maximum the car will go with the scroll wheel. It shouldn't be that hard. When FSD first came out, it would still monitor speed limit without automatically increasing way over!
Doesn’t have anything to do with the seasons or month of the yearIs it a winter thing? I haven't noticed any problems here in Florida with my Y or my CT
That's fine for the 60 mph zone; but what about the 75 mph zones. Will I have to reset the max? It's not hard. You can set a max speed that will be the maximum the car will go with the scroll wheel.
This is exactly the current option available for Cybertruck. Check your FSD settings. I left my default to 40% which works great on rural roads.I would like to have a setting where I could set my target speed as a percentage of the posted speed.
I would probably set it up for 8-10% above. That would result in 38 in a 35, 50 in a 45 and 60 in a 55. This would all work and not get too much attention from speed enforcement officers.
I don't think it works that way.... I wish it did. I don't believe you are driving 40% over the posted speed limit? This is exactly the current option available for Cybertruck. Check your FSD settings. I left my default to 40% which works great on rural roads.
In the first FSD I had with my 2017 Model X, I could set the speed whatever I wanted and it would maintain that, (except for slower traffic), and not go over it! If I wanted to speed up, I could scroll up in increments!I don't think it works that way.... I wish it did. I don't believe you are driving 40% over the posted speed limit?
The Max Speed Offset takes into account the FSD Profile selected and the traffic flow. The "Speed Limit" selection further down allows a choice between "relative" and "absolute" +/- MPH setting but I would prefer this was offered as a percentage above or below the posted speed limit. I currently have mine set at 5 mph "relative" because "absolute" is too fast in a 25 mph school zone and not fast enough on a 65 mph interstate. This is where a speed percentage selection would work better in my opinion. If anyone has any better suggestions for setting up this page I would love to hear it.
BTW, I also wish there was a slider selection where I could prioritize by percentage the lane I prefer to be in when driving on a multilane highway.
