My CT is still swerving when it sees skid marks. Not sure why. I guess it thinks it is an object.
Yeah same here. Same two side by side burn out marks in middle of lane, or a swerve skid in lane.

Even went back to try it again and again. Same swerve, even in night. Kind of freaky.

With all these updates, is there still anyway to have My Cyberbeast pull up to my house and BACKUP into its charging spot on my driveway while in unsupervised driving? Do I need to paint white lines on the driveway?
Any suggestions? Love my CBCT! Almost time for new tires. Anyone have any deals on the Pirelli's

I have had my car do this and also the opposite. I havent done an official test but it might remember the state that it was in, especially if you hit start self driving from the beginning. meaning dont even drive it out of your driveway yourself. just get in, put your destination, and then hit start.

Nope. I back into my driveway every time and when I come back it wants to pull into the driveway or stop in the street.

65soyolo,

That is my experience also.
The only thing that might work is painting parking lines in my driveway. Would that actually work?Does anyone have any experiences with that homemade remedy?

Dalton108 to the rescue AGAIN! I thought I read about it somewhere.

Did you make it to Chat Charge this year? I had the wrong weekend.

One question: I have about a two truck length driveway. If I am in FSD will it find the lines with the garage door open and back in itself, or do I need to use self parking feature?
I'm trying to make this as effortless as possible should my wife decide to drive the Beast.

It has to have a clear line of sight. So in my experience sometimes it can see it [From outside of the garage] and sometimes it can’t and it seems to have a lot to do with the angle that you come into the garage and whether there’s another car already there, in my case. *Once the truck gets right up on the markings it can see them just fine it’s just a matter of how far away it can recognize them.

My wife uses it every day. She doesn’t like backing into the garage already, so it’s a huge game changer for her.

Being a man and a bit of a weirdo I usually like to park myself. TMI but I literally am something of a “parking whiz” and was this goes back to when I first got my license at 16 and was literally complimented by the DMV examiner on how awesome my parallel parking job was.

It’s kind of like a weird superpower. About ten years ago my wife and I were vacationing on Kauai and I whipped my rented Jeep Wrangler into a tight parallel park so quickly that one of the locals couldn’t help himself but to start clapping and said to me “Gud Driva!” My wife still teases me about it to this day. 🤣

These kids today with their “FSDees” will never have the opportunity to be weirdly prideful about something so stupid and banal! 🤣😂🤣😂

My driveway isn't long, but long enough that the tape inside the garage doesn't work. V15 is supposed to have some advanced parking options.

Dalton: Is 2 in tape or 3 in tape the preferred with or doesn't it matter?

SCTESLA: Any hints as to what may or may not be coming?
Wider is better so definitely at least 3 inches. I think I updated this somewhere but my minimum with after I redid it is 4 inches. It won’t recognize 2 inches consistently, if at all.

Dalton108: Do you think reflective tape or paint would be more effective than plain white gaffer tape? If you never tried it, I'm willing to try it and give a followup after a test period.

No. I think more options, like backing in, pick a spot, etc.

I bought some reflective tape and never used it because it just seemed so aggressive and permanent. It's also very expensive compared to gaffers tape. I would recommend that you do gaffers tape it's cheap and easily removable but strong enough to be in place for however. Mine has been down since that original post. It will blacken overtime with you, driving over it and due to other environmental factors, but it still works perfectly for me. If you'd like it and want something more permanent/robust then you can use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1S2K9P?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_7&th=1

I saw that on Amazon and yes it is expensive, but if it works day and night with no issues, I would feel safer when the misses drives it. I have gaffers tape on order. I'll try it.

Thanks for all the hints.

SCTESLA: Any quesstimate about when 15 might show up?
