Yeah same here. Same two side by side burn out marks in middle of lane, or a swerve skid in lane.
I have had my car do this and also the opposite. I havent done an official test but it might remember the state that it was in, especially if you hit start self driving from the beginning. meaning dont even drive it out of your driveway yourself. just get in, put your destination, and then hit start.
Nope. I back into my driveway every time and when I come back it wants to pull into the driveway or stop in the street.
It has to have a clear line of sight. So in my experience sometimes it can see it [From outside of the garage] and sometimes it can’t and it seems to have a lot to do with the angle that you come into the garage and whether there’s another car already there, in my case. *Once the truck gets right up on the markings it can see them just fine it’s just a matter of how far away it can recognize them.
Wider is better so definitely at least 3 inches. I think I updated this somewhere but my minimum with after I redid it is 4 inches. It won’t recognize 2 inches consistently, if at all.
I bought some reflective tape and never used it because it just seemed so aggressive and permanent. It's also very expensive compared to gaffers tape. I would recommend that you do gaffers tape it's cheap and easily removable but strong enough to be in place for however. Mine has been down since that original post. It will blacken overtime with you, driving over it and due to other environmental factors, but it still works perfectly for me.
