I’m pretty unhappy with FSD14.1.7, mostly the loss of ability to set max speed since so many of the system speed limits are incorrect. I’m waiting FSD14.2, keep reading about it, but no download offered yet. Anyone know the schedule for rollout?

14.2 won’t let you set your speed either, it’ll just drive way worse. Hold on to what you have or live in regret like me.

Downloaded automatically. Yep, at first drive it is even worse. Tried to go 45 in my driveway. Still won’t go the legal speeds in town. I’m not happy at all.

Adjusting the offset finally worked for me. Go to the autopilot tab and crank it up. It’ll drive more reasonably.

Edit: Are you one of those people wanting it to go slower? If you are, use Sloth mode, not chill. Beyond that, I’d appreciate if you’d pretend otherwise so I don’t get banned.

So your driveway is nearly a mile long? You are showing 45mph and your "home" is 0.8 miles away. If this is the case, you are prolly one of these less than 1% scenarios they haven't solved for yet.

Thank you, I’ll try that tomorrow.

I do have it in sloth for FSD. ‘Chill’ being displayed is just my acceleration mode that displays when not in FSD. I adjust up or down as needed and that works pretty well on the highway. But not on many city streets where the system has incorrect speed limit data. I would just like it to go the speed limit or a touch higher. But it cannot do that when it thinks the speed limit is 45 yet the posted limit is 35. Sloth keeps me at the system speed limit of 45, but that’s 10 over the real speed limit. The problem here is not really the FSD but the FSD making decisions on bad speed limit data. I’ve been able to fix that on the fly for a year, but not now.

Good observation, but my bad for explaining poorly. My ‘driveway’ is at a different address (my ‘work’ location), and the driveway is just about 75ft long to the street. My ‘home’ is .8 miles away on a public road . I make this short drive daily, often several times per day. I’ve done it flawlessly on FSD all year, but oddly the speed data thinks the limit is 35mph going one way but 45 the other way. I’ve always just rolled down to be near the real speed limit of 35. The road has many pedestrians, bicyclists and cross walks and 45 is just too fast to be safe. So now I FSD one way but have to manually drive the other to stay near the speed limit. I love the FSD- I just would like to be able to go back to using it close to 100% of the time as I have for the first year of CT ownership. .
