I am updating as well but from 2024.26.1. If i was still back on 2024.20.7 or 9 I would not update. Tesla does not always make sense or do things fair. There is a very high chance everyone on 2024.26.1 and up are above the 12.5 fsd path and will be waiting longer. ITS TO LATE FOR ME SAVE YOURSELF AND DONT UPDATED TO 2024.26.**. When FSD comes out on the cyber trucks it will go out in waves and the trucks running the older software are most likely going to get it first.
The option of YouTube Music has led me astray. I tried to hold out as long as possible, but am no longer master of my domain.

this is a sizeable update with 41 systems getting new code. Also potentially notable but it seems the autopilot image is now over 2GB looks like things are getting staged now.

I have no idea what to do now! I feel like the CT software has always been on a different number set. But I don't wanna mess up getting FSD!

Not gonna lie. It's so tempting to push update. Ugh!

Cybertruck FSD is not part of the 2024.26 branch as of yet.

My belief, opinion, whatever you want to call it, is that the quicker and more often you install updates, the quicker futures come. Also have a good wifi (AP installed over my CT) and being plugged in helped. This is just what I've noticed after 6 years of owning 3 Tesla's.

Also, while the update is nice, I still can't believe how buggy Apple Music is:

* Shuffle on a playlist 9 out of 10 times just plays the 2nd song and doesn't enable shuffle.
* "My Station" will sometimes just have a few songs that constantly repeat, sometimes as few as 1 song. Tapping again sometimes fixes it.
* Songs do not start where they left off when I get out. I've been out of the car for less than 5 seconds, open back up and towards the end of a random song.
* "Cannot connect error"
* Probably more.

I am on 2024.26.3.1 - updated while travelling. I found that my settings for charging before leaving at certain time is gone, now only schedule to charge/pre-condition by certain time. Sentry settings to be off while at home stops working and door not locking at home stops also. I tried to set "home" again but it still does not work. My lock sounds settings are gone too. Anyone knows how to make all the settings to work again. (I do not want Sentry to be on while at home to save on battery drain and doors locked at home/in garage).

I don’t think this is how it works. I’m not sure though. Im in software development myself, and the way they release updates boggles my mind. But I am pretty sure, like the rest of the software development community, they don’t release new updates until they’ve had time for the previous update to make it to enough people. This allows them a good sampling size to catch bugs and errors. So if everyone would just update as soon as it’s available, we’d get all the updates faster. Also a broken update or bug would also be detected sooner, and update’s for those would be released faster too.

So when we all just wait for the next bug update, we are all hurting each other by delaying all the updates.

Note: A lot of times in software, two or three version of the same feature might be released, to see which one performs better. I believe that’s why Tesla has so many branch of software out.
