your most certainly welcome,
I made a custom bracket that mounts to the L track at the nearest point to the tailgate. and comes out between the tonneau cover and the gate while keeping the gate and tonneau cover both completely closed and sealed. All the while conserving normal function of both. in other words, Flagpole/glow whip mounts inside yet stays outside even with everything closed. and as I mentioned earlier the glow whip itself is quick release. leaving behind the spring, bracket and wiring in place with low profile and a very minimal bed interference ( spring and bracket are 6 inches tall) and also 6" total "from the top of the tailgate. The whip mount center is offset to directly above the center width of the gate when closed. I'll be looking at getting this bracket professionally manufactured in quantity but would like to know if this bracket is something that some of you would be intestad in. I'll have photos here soon in the next day or 2 with the bracket and glow whip I mentioned earlier mounted on my truck. so, you can get a good look at what I'm talking about.
in the meantime, anyone know where to get these square nuts used in the L track? reference photo I took these two from my L track hook and bottle opener, but I wound need to find a source supply for use with the custom brackets on my Drawing board. this small bracket in the photo is not the main part that I'm talking about it's only a small part of it. look I'm not trying to patent anything here. all open source if you got the resources and like my idea have at it, please. Just know that there's more where that came from.

Anyone been to Gorman they love to hassle you there. I can think of at least 3 different times We got hassled in Gorman. first one I was riding my bike down the trails wearing a helmet all the proper gear bike is registered. when I left the camp site I did a quick turn around on the bike and kicked up a few small rocks no one or cars was around. so I'm running down the trails and I turn back and notice another bike eating my dust. I think nothing of it. Just another rider doing what I'm doing but he appears to be following me. I don't recognize him. ah let me see if i can lose him I speed up a bit take a few jumps, and this guy is still on me. so finally, I decide to slow down and see what his deal is. Maybe he needs help. As he gets closer, I see no indication that he is a ranger on duty. until he was right next to me, I noticed the badge on his waistline. So, I stop and ask him what's the problem. he tells me "You were kicking up rocks back there near the restrooms and I just wanted to tell you that I can give you a ticket for that but this time it's just a warning. ok cool thanks. Next time we had a big group of guys in our camp site and its the middle of the night we got the music on loud, and we all have been drinking. A ranger in uniform by himself aproches us and tells us we need to lower the music and stop disturbing the peace. all the while he has his hand over his gun ready to draw. we had an former police man in our group who was intoxicated and was starting to argue with the ranger. but we quicky pulled him away and cooperated with the ranger. then he walked away walking backwards so he doesn't give us his back. but that was it no harm just hassle the third time it was early morning, and everyone is getting up with a hangover about 7am we got maybe 10 adults a few kids my brothers' kids. and we need coffee my brother volunteers to drive into town and just get McDonalds coffee for everyone. its about 7am he jumps in his truck solo, and we are the only people there the parking area is empty, and my bro decides to do a donut in his truck just as a ranger's truck passes by on the dirt road he was headed for. they must have been watching us from a distance and timed their approach to get behind my brother but with that donut he gave them an open invitation. they stop him with the lights and were all about 50 yards away watching this all unfold, and my nephews are under 10yrs old they see them doing the sobriety check on him and start crying. I'm telling them they're just talking don't worry he's fine then the breathalyzer comes out he blows and now their putting hand cuffs on him. oh man the tears start to really flow now and my brother is pleating with them. I'm telling my nephews it's okay he'll be fine you'll see they just want to go talk at the office some more. I'm thinking shit there goes my coffee. they take him in and about an hour latter he's back. turns out when he blow at the camp site, he was .01% over the legal limit to drive from the night before by the time they got him to the station he was below the limit and had to release him.

26 so far. Every event we see a drop off, so getting the word out continuously grows the number and we get a huge group out there.

any Ideas on how to wire up the 12v glow whip. I know you can get an inverter to go from 120v down to 12v. but I was hoping that an inverter would not be necessary. And I know the CB sub systems run on 48v architecture. But I heard on the Munro CT teardown that there are some things on the truck that use the old 12v power. anyone know if this is true and if so, what uses the 12v? and would it be safe to tap into for powering accessories? in this case it would be a glow whip/illuminated flagpole any help or advice on how to do this would be appreciated Thanks in advance.

the 7 pin trailer plug should have 12 volts.

I’m running off a small 12v battery i keep in the sub trunk under the bed. The 110v outlets are also useful with an adapter

yeah, I did that to test the light, and it can just go straight to the 12 battery or other power source because there is a switch built into the glow whip and is toggled on/off from a small wireless IR remote. but the wall adapter idea is also a good easy handy way to do it. only issue I see with that one is that wall adapters are made for stationary walls so usually there's no bouncing around to wiggle itself out of the plug. since the only thing holding a wall adapter in place is the relatively small clamping pressure from the two electrical contact prongs. especially for something you plan on using while off roading. If a way to secure the wall adapter is available for the CT please let us know about it. these are nice temporary / semi-permanent solutions. but I was looking for something permanent with hidden wires clean professional solution.
and I know you have 12v on the trailer lights by the hitch. if it's possible to just tap into this power there would be no need for batteries, wall adapters or inverters.

does anyone know which wires exactly on the trailer light connector are the 12v positive and negative. if someone knows what colors each are please share that with us. I can use a tester and figure it out or search the service manual but posting that info here for everyone to see that might be needing this info would be helpful. thank you.
