I've pasted this link in some other threads here before. It does look promising but at my current understanding, it should give the CT a full charge in about 48 hours. Anyone want to correct my math with the specs below?

1.2k max output, i assume 12 hours per day full sun to reach its max ( in reality, you are lucky to get even 50% in majority of US), then 14.4 kwh per day, CT battery is 123 kwh, you do the math…

So in reality, 50% of max output lands on 0.6k output, 7.2kwh per day, about 18 miles range for CT from one day solar only charging.

Kinda cool for those that may have to park outside and live somewhere Sunny - would take a long time for the payback I guess, but perhaps it would enable driving for someone that can't charge at home but parks outside (and again somewhere sunny).

Love driving on sunlight. I used the charge on extra solar option with Tesla and it tops me off 30% or so each day that I use just fine.

This is way easier than people want it to be.

  • Solar Output Closed: 200 watts, 25-40V DC
  • Solar Output Open: 1,200 watts, 80-120V DC

  • Output: 110V AC, up to 15A, 12V DC, USB A&C

The Cybertruck supports when stopped, charging from 120V 15A at up to 2 miles per hour. And that's when the Cybertruck is asleep.
A 120V 15A circuit is capable of 1800W. But for extended loads, like charging, it has to be derated to 12A or 1440W.

This device MAXs at 1,200W which is under 11A.
A significant amount, around 500W of the current used to charge at 120V goes to just keeping the vehicle awake.
That suggests that you may get only 1 mph.

But odds are that it won't be able to maintain enough voltage to keep the vehicle from getting upset and shutting down.

Of course other little things like keeping the cells aligned with the sun become big things.

I like it, I may get one for my Model Y since I leave that outside all the time. Also nice for parking at the airport if you are going to be gone for awhile and have an outside spot. I do wish it could be more integrated where it didn't need to be plugged into the charge port. Seems like that leaves it vulnerable to a vandal.
