How many days passed between your initial approval and pick up?

Tesla's financing partners will make a hard pull on credit score even without asking their consent.

I don't think Tesla respect their customers by not reigning them specially with their bait-and-switch.

Decades in corporate finance and never seen this kind of unethical practice.

I maintained excellent credit score and they did this to me and in the end it caused it to drop.

Less than a month. I agree to the first quote but when I was finalizing delivery requirement, I was told my first approved offer (the bait) expired. Then switches with higher downpayment, jacked up interests and hits on pull on my credit scores flooded in.

I ended up paying cash and called their bluffs. Their loss, not mine.

Met someone in WA saying he had the same experience, backed out of FS even if he can gather the cash for the purchase. He said he will just wait for regular non FS. He is a stockholder. He added he is happy with his S with an FSD and can't see himself getting a CT without it.

This is Tesla #5 in my house, only bad experience was with mu fiancé’s cybertruck, kept saying stop applying every time the financing expired and of course on the 3rd application the down payment went up, but that’s also with a new S purchased last year, so 4 pulls in 2 years, but I wouldn’t consider that bait and switch just poor planning.
I’m more ocd with my credit just because of past experiences so I researched and started an account with US Senate FCU in November, they generally have the best rates nationwide and financing only took a couple days when I did get my VIN for my truck. What sucks with financing through dealers is you never know what you are going to get it’s like pulling out of a hat. PenFed is also decent but has a little higher APR.
If they really did pull your credit without authorization challenge it with the credit bureaus, they will remove the pull usually within a day or two, I had a Dodge dealer do that to me once and it was gone before midnight.
