FYI, I just lost one of them as I was speeding.

hot glue might melt the PPF or vinyl already installed, try a vinyl sticker

I like the magnets. I put flag decals on mine -- from https://decaljunky.com/. I like these because they preserve the monochrome color scheme. Please ignore my dirt. I drive a lot on gravel.

So this isn’t exactly what you’re asking but thought I’d share what I did with my muffin sticker.
In my first truck I put it on and then covered it in clear ppf. Then I cut it out when I took my wrap on but since it was irreplaceable, I stick that piece of ppf with sticker and clear ppf on a magnetic sheet and it tuned out awesome. Now it can migrate too.
So basically, anything you want do to that to, put a piece of your ppf on a magnetic sheet, stick your sticker on and if it’s not weatherproof enough put clear ppf over the top.

Maybe a little complicated but works super well and has the advantage of being moveable/removeable
Can probably get away with a thinner magnet than I did but since this thing is one of a kind I wanted to take no chances with it falling off.
