nope, but I cleaned the windshield behind the plastic covering the cameras and I have a gopro(like) camera mounted where the rearview mirrow used to be. One of the pieces was on the console and while fiddling with the plastics I knocked a piece of the mount onto the floor...but I didn't think it hit the screen but I can only guess it did.

I also saw the $2200 price tag...guess I will be looking at that chip for a LOOOOOONG time.

AND, the worst part is there is a screen protector on the screen but it is 1/16th of an inch high, if it was even with the bottom of the screen it probably would not have broke. argh.

? for the OP that’s not the case. I have seen a number of prices on eBay that don’t reflect what a new part costs from Tesla direct. Sometimes a part from Tesla is significantly less.

OP, open service ticket and put in it that you’re only asking for price and availability of the part. They’ll send you the price without the labor to install it. Then it’s up to you to pick it up or not.

It really looks like only the screen protector broke. They break much easier than the main screen. From a few of the model 3 screen breaks I’ve seen, it instantly affects the entire display and doesn’t remain in perfect working order.

Take off the protector. You’ve got nothing to lose! I’m more so curious as both pictures look like the actual screen is fine. Good luck!
