So I have Apple Music. However every time I use the voice command to play a song it does not use Apple Music. For example, I’ll say “play all the small things by blink-182” and then it normally plays a song by blink-182 but not that specific song. I have to say “play blink-182 all the small things on Apple Music” and then it will play the specific song.

i looked through the settings and can’t figure it out- searched through the threads and can’t find anything either.

rather small issue but annoying.

Yeah the default "play a song" plays from LiveOne, the old Slacker. Can't change that. Although, if I recall, if you have a premium account on LiveOne/Slacker, then it usually plays the actual request song first like you would expect, otherwise it plays songs like it but it could be first.

Yeah. Honestly from what’s out there in terms of vehicle operating systems be thankful that you’re able to specify that you want to open it in Apple Music. Because generally your car OS is just going to do the things that are built into your car. The default for the vehicle used to be the Tesla music app whatever it ran on under the hood (can’t remember never used it) *edited it doesn’t default to Spotify. I just usually search through Spotify rather than saying genetically play such and such.

With the prior app - LiveOne since Tesla had an paid agreement with them, you would also get the exact song that you asked for. Not anymore.

Now, if you want that without saying extra words, you’ll have to pay for LiveOne.

I think you found the only use case where anybody would recognize the difference. Well done, sir/madam!

Bummer, was hoping there was a default somehow. I use pandora from my phone and Tesla OS nags me “you can sue built in blah blah instead of from your phone” nahh I’d rather use my phone. But the nag never goes away.
