Cos it’s free and this a business after all?
Nah, not really. The raw stainless is just nearly impossible to keep looking 'good'. Fingerprints and stains galore. I dont mind the color per se, i mind the messy look!

Fair. My wife hates it too. Says they look “incomplete”. Like they just gave up at the end of the manufacturing process.

Those seats look amazing. What do you guys charge for something like that and how do you do it? A prefab kit like katzkin or something? Does it go over the OEM like a cover? I imagine there are lots and lots of color and texture options.

I got a car wash ($20/mo) subscription and that kept it looking great. It would occasionally cut some of the rotating brush bristles off though haha. 📐

I'm impressed with your marketing ability! You make it look easy to pimp the layering of a less durable material onto the nearly indestructible hardened stainless steel shell. That's a tall marketing order, but you are exceptionally talented at marketing!

After 2+ years of harsh use, my gleaming metal beauty has been very easy to keep looking great, the secret is to encourage the natural passivation layer to develop and maintain it without harsh chemicals that repeatedly strip it off. I just wash it with soap and water when it gets too much mud and grimy road film on it and rinse well. Once a year or so I'll sand it with abrasives and it looks far better than new. Of course it's a truck so it quickly gets dirty again, but it still looks and photographs well. Some of my best photos are when it hasn't been washed for 1-4 weeks. I never photograph it when it's 100% clean because my driveway isn't that photogenic. Black is the hardest color to keep looking nice, the raw stainless lets the light shine right through the dirt:

I hope this isn't too many pics, but I wanted to show the bare metal in a wide variety of lighting and states of griminess.

I love the way the bare metal takes on the colors around it.

In all of these photos the bare metal is filthy, typically with days or weeks of road grime on it., fingerprints, dust, bugs, mud, scrapes from trees and shrubs, magnesium chloride based deicers, etc.

I know looks are a personal thing but this is the easiest truck to keep nice looking I've ever owned. A vehicle with black plastic wrap would have the light shining off the dirt, rather than through the dirt as in these photos. Wraps look like plastic, metal looks like metal. I know what I would rather have (and it doesn't cost a penny extra).
