Yeah I bought it. It simply met my requirements for a truck. Unlike you, I am not participating in Florida to California Gumball Rally’s, but what I am participating in is real world driving. I use it for WORK and PLEASURE. It hauls tools back and forth to jobsites, gets dirty, and needs to be recharged (basically like putting gas or diesel in another vehicle). I went into CT with the mindset that no matter what you buy there will always be something down the road that outperforms my current vehicle in one way or another. This is first generation of the CT and most likely will get upgrades as technology grows. Im fine with that. Take any year vehicle and look at the progression from the original year. Also my heart didn’t “sink” when I saw the specs, it did the complete opposite. And I also commend Tesla for having the balls to launch a vehicle that is not the norm. Have you ever driven one? Probably not. I have driven one, every day since I bought it as a matter of fact, and it is a great vehicle so far. Will it need to be worked on at some point? Yes, just like any other vehicle. So until you find a vehicle that meets your needs, please keep your ridiculous posts on the Cybertruck Haters Forum.

Everyone uses their Cybertruck in their own little ways. For example, I’m not gonna be using it for work purposes as I have a Dodge Ram Longhorn and does what I needed to do from at work perspective.

My Cybertruck however, is a super fun vehicle to drive and can get enough of it. To Brad point, this is the foundation series and anyone that bought it and will buy does it with the understanding that it will be primitive in years to come as the new cyber truck will have crazy upgrades.

Knowing that I still ordered my cyber truck and wouldn’t have it any other way. ??

I can't claim my Cybertruck as a work vehicle since I've been retired for 20 years, but some of the stuff I do requires a truck and it's great to have one that's major fun.

I perfectly understand the march of technology issue, but I still love my 2013 Model S P85 and don't see letting go of it until it quits on me. The Cybertruck provides all the technology boost I will require for a while.

I'm in the same boat, and proud of it. I know we were thrown a curveball when the final truck specs & pricing were announced, but as a reasonable person who knows the world has changed in the last few years, I could make sense of it. Having driven a model 3 and Y over the last 5 years, I didn't lose sleep about the range changes either. I was cured of range anxiety in the first month of M3 ownership. Since I laid eyes on this ugly f**king truck, I knew it would fill a gap in my life. I like EVs, and I need to do Truck Stuff. While I do not make a living in cross-country EV race hauling, I do engage in the occasional trip to Home Depot, tow my zero-turn mower to my parent's house about a mile away, and need to be able to drive over curbs when necessary. I cant think of a better vehicle for it.
