Perhaps Tesla could design a rolling structural battery pack trailer low profile with either roll up flexible solar panels or normal solar panels that would extend out. This smaller trailer could be used for extended trips that could be “rented” or purchased. To be sure this is not for towing other items. But a universal single or double axle SS trailer which contains a battery pack on which other things could be mounted custom or used for hauling box to RV caravan substructure…..? Sort of a portable DC fast charger on wheels. Thoughts

The biggest use for the extra battery is indeed towing.
For road tripping, it really isn't worth it. I just finished a 2400-mile trip in December and I've travelled from Miami to Chicago and the Atlantic to past the Mississippi. Never needed additional range in my Model Y or Model 3, which both have similar range as the Cybertruck.

Trailer would probably use more than it has batteries onboard and adds in range?

Only would make sense if you also needed the trailer to haul something as well or as a RV.

Or if you were overlanding and the solar was the only source of power in the summer months. Lots of threads on here where it has been discussed.

I took a trip from Denver to LA and back, then immediately to Boston and back. This was in a 2017 Model X P100D with rated 289 and shows about 265 at 100%.
