Looking at doing a Satin Midnight Moss PPF wrap with this film. Saw it on Tsportline's youtube channel, and in the forum here. I absolutely LOVE the color.
Tesla Cybertruck Inozetek PPF - Quality concerns 1736807698671-cq

Since I'm not the type that can casually toss $7,000 at something and it be NBD, I've been reading up on reviews. Inozetek's listing on Google has poor reviews citing poor adhesion, and horrible color degradation within well under a year. Online forums tend to mirror a lot of bad sentiment. All the good reviews are on brand new wraps (which of COURSE its going to look great when its brand new) BUT everything I read is regarding their VINYL, nothing about their PPF.

Is this poor lifespan normal for Vinyl and Inozetech is unfairly getting a bad rap, or is Inozotech vinyl just exceptionally bad?
Is there any reason to trust their PPF would be better in keeping color and adhesion?

For the expense, I expect at LEAST 5 years of it staying pretty much the same color, and not peeling/bubbling off as long as I take decent care of it.

I'd appreciate any advice!

This is a good question: about PPF durability over time by brand.

Have you tried reaching out to Twraps to see if they have the same color in their PPF? I think they offer the DIY wrap with Avery Dennison PPF

I do not have the answer to your question specifically. But vinyl is terrible as an option. It chips like paint from rocks. I do not know if their PPF hold up as good as some of the other players that have been around longer like Stek, or 3M. But it will certainly last longer than vinyl.

I heard from installers that Inozetek quality is horrible. Too bad, they have some nice colors but I went with Stek.

Wait! $7,000 for DIY PPF? I think in most places you can get it installed for that much money.
I’m pretty sure he means installed.

DIY PPF prices I’ve seen are around $1500-1700.

I got two quotes for PPF and they came in at $7k (for PurePPF in satin black) and $9k (!!) for satin black (forget which PPF brand).

DIY is not an easy feat even for handy people, which I’m not. I hated forking out that kind of money. Ut it is similar to what a premium paint job would cost so I did it. If you could get them to make a deal on good tints, that might be an option.

No, thats the quote I got for installed (*+ adding ceramic coating). Definitely not DIY price! Even still, 7k seems insane to me. Thats how much an actual good paint job costs...

Thats what I've heard too, buts its all in regard to their vinyl. Their PPF I guess is new (I guess colored PPF in general is). So long term reviews don't seem to be out there. It seems like a massively expensive risk.

The fact that they have a 5 year warranty versus other companies like Stek having a 10 year warranty gives me a hint that its lower quality.

Yeah, I can’t justify that price. And I can tell the two shops I contacted aren’t hurting for business because they never reached back out to ask if I wanted to purchase (let alone a discount).

This color is out of stock at Inozetek and is weeks out at best anyway. @PurePPF has a very similar color--Satin Forest Green which is a more dynamic green. We offer their film for our installed wraps, and they honor a 10-year warranty on their film. Our price is also about $7k for this film.

I'd love to explore wrapping your truck for you. Send me a DM and I'll make you a deal!
