Will there be a way to turn off the inside camera…. Really don’t want Tesla to see me adjust my shorts or blow my nose, etc…?

The internal camera doesn't record unless you allow it. The protocol to use Autopilot will require it at some point, but the vehicle does not save the data being generated from it.

No video will be uploaded from the camera because none is saved. So no one at Tesla will ever see through it.

They like to keep their systems both connected and yet independent.

They do log the actions the camera witnesses.

"Driver watching road"
"Driver distracted"
"Driver Sleeping"
"Driver adjusting shorts"

etc.

They have used this data to kick some people out of the beta program.

"Delved nostril, left"
"Augered ear canal, right"
"Plucked eyebrows at 4 consecutive stoplights"
Some of this data would qualify for anthropology studies I bet.

The Tappit Brothers would recommend black electrical tape to disable the cabin camera.

Most of us have a roll of that around already.

Of course Autopilot and FSD may stop working eventually if you disable the cabin camera because it’s primary (only?) role is to ensure the driver is paying attention to the road.

My spouse just uses a piece of black construction paper. Any sort pf thick, colored art paper or not paper will do.

You don't really even need sticky tape since it'll just snap under the edge of the interior panel.
