I know this topic has probably been discussed ad nauseam. I’m picking up a Foundation Beast on 6/26. Extremely excited. First Tesla. Wondering about insurance. My agent (good friend ) looking. I’m 62. Safe driver. Perused Tesla insurance. Seems pricey. Although month to month. Also wondering about gap. Putting 20000 down w 0% Tesla wants $299 month w 90 rating. If I need to be directed to different sub group let me know. I have Erie insurance for my other vehicles. Thanks a lot

Same, Tesla rate was more @310/m, for less coverage than my AAA.

When I first got my non-Foundation AWD in December, Progressive's 6-month teaser rate was far and away the best deal. $554, I believe(!) This is a one trick pony- they are lowballing you at the beginning hoping you won't shop when they reset you at 3x that price six months later. So, if you are prepared to shop in the subsequent half year, give Flo and Jamie a look, but don't forget to move on after six months.

So, I’m buying another Cybertruck, just got my VIN assigned and am going through the insurance process.

I was just wowed and wanted to share.
GEICO wants $2,000 for 6 months
(been with them 15 years, have had currrent CT with them for last 18 months)

Progressive wants a very reasonable $489/6 months

When I took delivery of my current CT, Progressive wouldn’t underwrite me.

I guess the lesson is that it pays to shop around.

And yes, FSD transfer is part of this transaction. Had some special forms to complete delivered during the trade in process. The rep assured me time and time again that so long as the email address of the Tesla account is rhe same for both vehicles, FSD transfer for a Foundation Series will be approved.

Yesterday quoted 3,000 year to compare against my current 4200 yearly comp collision and liability are expensive on this vehicle. Also, the price point comes in to play. This is quoted in Miami. I cannot find any quotes with perfect driving record and multiple vehicles for a cyber truck under 3000 most of them are over 4000 but then again, my Lincoln, which was basically the same cost as a cyber truck foundation was only $400 a year cheaper
