I'm in the process of moving to Orlando, and my current M3 lease is expiring in a few months. Thinking of buying a CT. What are you guys paying for insurance?

I would just decide the coverage you want, make a list of companies, and start calling. Policy details are often left out of these threads and that’s pretty important. In my exp, in FL, progressive was my best bet… even over USAA as a ~20 year customer unfortunately. Geico was horrendous.

GEICO in Orlando - $250/month. That's with $1000 deductible and middle range $200K (?) coverage. And this is my third vehicle that I don't use for commuting lol. GEICO has always been crazy high for Teslas.

I plan to switch to something else in a month or two.

Insurance used to be cheap-ish in central FL (but still higher than national average) a few years ago at around $100-130/month per vehicle for full comprehensive coverage but the past few hurricanes have jacked up rates 30-50%

Florida is a no-fault state with 25+ % uninsured drivers. If you get the minimum coverage ($10K) and an uninsured driver hits you then your insurance will cover only $10K.

My 22 Model 3 was maybe $120/month back in 2022. I suspect it would be closer to $170/month given how the rates have risen on all my vehicles.

For some reason, I paid less for Cybertruck compared to Model Y Performance with Statefarm. Moved to Progressive later as they had the best quote! There are lots of variables that one needs to keep in mind. Just a number for someone is not going to work for everyone.
